Title: Conflict with bands and singer professionals
Post by: beardeux on March 27, 2021, 07:23:23 PM
I just had a new experience I was unprepared for.  I have a family of 6 brothers.  Four are in a band group, one is a professional singer, and because I couldn't put the last in the band, he is artistic, but also completely musical.  The first time my singer gave a performance I had the whole fam damily there and the relationships between them dropped a step or three.  Seems there is jealousy and competition between them.  I had this confirmed with my second concert.  Thankfully one of them has the social networking ability.  So seems I will have to keep them apart during the singer's performances.  Even though they seem to enjoy the concert, it is directly connected to their falling relationships.  Note to self, band performs at the regular parks and singer performs at Performance Park and neither the twain shall meet.  My singer has no problem with being near or taking part with the band members.
sigh sigh

If I understand correctly the reason singers can't perform at regular parks is because they don't have stages to put on a show or gig. Performance Park is the only park I know of that has a stage on the lot.

A singer can perform for tips at any park and sing their songs.  I just couldn't have the band brothers at performance park when the singer was performing.

Right, they can play for tips and sing their songs, they just can't perform shows or gigs due to there not being a stage.

It's too bad though you can't have a singer and bands playing at the same time.

Well I'd be happy if the brothers weren't jealous and their relationships didn't suffer.  I don't really want them all performing at the same place, but my singer only performs once a week and I'd like the brothers to enjoy the show.  Seemingly they do, but then the friendships drop.  Makes me laugh.

I am not sure, but I thought I read where there was a mod that can help keep the relationships from tanking so that Sims can enjoy someone else's performance. I just can't think of the name of it off the top of my head.

As I've heard of the issue (relationship suffering) when watching shows/gigs together. Or one is playing in the show and the other(s) is watching.
