Because I had such a problem placing the provided mill lot on the 64x64 lot I needed, I decided to create my own. It took 3 days but I'm happy with it. I used the lot at the end of the dead end road where Sim Cottoneye lived. I evicted him (didn't need his kind around in this peaceful little town anyway. He was just a rabble rouser). I needed that lot due to it's proximity to the river and I wanted it to be "out in the country". It even has a functioning (if not terribly realistic) waterfall. I built a little groundskeeper's cottage next to it so that I could go live. It needs more trees and stuff but I ran out of steam.

I was testing the gable vents and trim and for some reason I am not able to place either the vent or the trim on the side gables. I'm just "venting". :D

Going good. I had to change the upstairs windows because I'd have had to have 5 wall sections and that would put everything off center. There was no choice to place the small window on each side where the are because the "dormer" window was too low. The overhang on the front of the large roof portion has to stay where it is because... well, you know how game constraints are. ::) The roof wasn't really an issue at all.
On the whole, I think it came out pretty well. I just need to add more doors/windows all around and I'm ready to tackle the inside. I might make the sunroom a little bigger.

I think I didn't explain myself very well. The stairway in the actual house has 2 steps and a landing where it turns. Then more steps to another landing where it turns again before going to the second floor.

But because I wanted the stairs to start in a specific spot, I couldn't place them against the wall. If I turn them so that the landing is against the outside wall, that would be more like the picture except that it would set the stairs too far back to have them start in the hall near the entry and they wouldn't go back to the wall anyway.

Not quite sure what you mean about adding photos. When I add walls to the attic, I just put them where they'll fit within the gables.

This is going to be a pretty big house depending on how many bedrooms I put in upstairs, so I may make a recreational space in the attic - tv, foosball, etc.
I can't sit here any longer!! I have to make my bed and get dressed. It's pouring rain and I don't even want to go out but I don't have a choice. :::grumble::: :D

I found the original real estate listing for the house and found out it has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths upstairs so that helps with design. The attic is useless so I removed the stairs. I tried putting a basement under the house but I had a problem placing the stairs. The listing says it's got a media room, a workout room, etc in the basement. I might make a garage with a second storey like I did in the New Orleans house.
That house was listed about a year and a half ago and sold for $1.250.000. Here it would go for at least 3 mil.

I find myself inspired to build small, cheap houses these days. When using the NRaas Story Progession mod, NPCs are often in need of affordable homes at around 20.000 simoleons when furnished with the necessities.
It must take you a long time to plan out and build all those big, intricate houses of yours.

One problem I'm having is that many of my favorite pieces of men's wear are missing. He's a retired orthopedic surgeon and he's a pretty snappy dresser. (best shoe wardrobe I've ever seen on a man). All I'm seeing is old guy stuff.
Another issue is pretty funny actually. I have a mod that allows height adjustment. In addition to his great wardrobe, he's also probably the smallest man I've ever met. So I have adjusted his height which works just great except for one thing. The arms don't adjust to the height and his hands are almost down to his knees.
His companion is going to be Mavis. I think she's 85 and she's the same height as he is. When we go out as a group, they always sit together and he gallantly escorts her (she uses a walker most times) in and out of the restaurant, holds her arm when she's getting in and out of the car, etc. They make the cutest couple. She's really going to miss him when he moves.
I'll post pix when I've finished them. I'll have to build them a little house.

That whole area of the kitchen/dining was tile at one point and the fridge was on the other side but I didn't like the way it looked with the walls were down so I moved it to where it is showing now and removed that piece of wall. Because I put the bookcase on that wall, I'm going to move the fridge back to where it was because the book case will cover it and then I'll remove that strip of tile altogether. It's still a work in progress. I realized one glaring detail (other than the plant in the middle of the bedroom floor). This house doesn't have a front porch. All my other houses have. It's kind of my signature style. I'll have to see about fixing that. The bit of overhang by the front door doesn't count. :D

Really studying the photos, I can see where much of it was virtually staged. My next door neighbor's apartment was virtually staged and it sure looked a lot different than in real life.
I'm trying to furnish/decorate the living room and can't find the beams I uses in my Purcell house. I don't remember where I put them and now I have to go hunting.

I've started with the bathrooms and closets upstairs and realized I've missed a bedroom at the back up there.
There are 2 small one side-by-side and share a bathroom and sitting room. There was mention in the RE listing of maid's rooms, so that's probably what they are. I may (or may not) change it.
Bedrooms are next. Maybe tomorrow. (I do have to do some actual housework one of these days). LOL.
I had to change the front windows because I'd added 2 where there weren't actually any and the bay window wasn't symmetrical (my OCD kicking in) so I had to fix that.

I only have single wide staircases in the house and so far I've not had any routing conflict. Where I did have a problem was in the kitchen because people kept running into each other. So I had to expand it. So far, so good.
I added a powder room near the kitchen so people didn't have to run upstairs even though they all have their own bathrooms and there's an extra one in the attic rec room. But I found that everyone was trying to wash their dishes in the bathroom sink because it was closer than the kitchen sink. I have to rethink the whole power room thing. The problem is, when you change one thing, you have to change 6 other things to make it fit.

I kept the base windows on this one and used the awnings.
In spite of changing the doorway to the downstairs powder room, everyone was lined up trying to do their dishes in the sink so I ended up deleting it completely.

Roofing was interesting with mansards in a gable and dormers in a mansard. I don't like the way the mansard is showing on the side of the house. I tried making the mansard smaller but it didn't look right and the dormer was off-centre.

Do you have any idea how many worked for me? None!! And I tried them all.
I managed a garage with CFE quite easily which surprised me, so I thought, why not try stairs. Countless hours later I have accomplished nothing. >:(
I might as well bang my head against the wall because it will achieve as much as trying to do the impossible with this game. So, after ranting, I came up with a solution which I actually like better. :o

When I tried it (once or twice), both times it came out totally wrong and messed up other things I was trying to do with the house, so I gave up. Wasn't able to save the house I was working on because the cheat messed it up that bad. Seems like it's doing the same to your house. :(

Using CFE, I was able to level the ground underneath, but it took the landing with it. Then using a frieze, I was able to create a landing but now you can't place walls around a frieze.
Conclusion: This was a whole lot more trouble that it's worth. :D

The only community lots I'd leave on the island in RV are the bistro, the supermarket, the theatre, the bar and the gazebo.

I always find it entertaining to watch public venues. And nice beach, by the way.
There is a venue from the Showtime pack that I need to go and grab. It has a mechanical bull and fits the country theme of Appaloosa Plains perfectly.

My biggest problem is that there's a problem with my flower shop that showed up after I installed UL.

Deleting Those Pesky Objects
1. Ctrl-Shift-C together to bring up the cheat console.
2. Type in testingcheatsenabled on and then type in buydebug on.
3. Shift-click on lot and select either buy or build on this lot.
For those hard to delete items, press Ctrl-Shift together, while having mouse over item and select Delete it.
You can find an example and How-To here (https://jadekitten.net/mfhot/index.php?topic=88.msg515#msg515).
You will then want to resave the lot after objects have been deleted.

I haven't place all my mods yet but I think this is going to be a painfull process because I had a lot of CC that didn't come from TSR. I have most of my CC in a folder in my desktop so I'll be able to eventually find stuff. I just went to my mill to find the outside covered in wall mounted fish and model train sets. I have to track down the ivy that was on it. :D This is going to be a long term project, I fear.

Imagine my surprise when I went in to do a live test that the kitchen was full of people (I have it set as a hangout). I'd forgotten about the back door and that there is a space in the ice cream shop that will allow a sim through and through the doors into the kitchen.
Not going to worry about it now though because the bakery was the last of my community lots to be recovered. Now on to the 28 residential lots and the zillion bits of CC to be repaired or replaced. :o
Of course my pretty walls are gone :'( and I have to try and recreate them. Glad I have screenshots of all the houses.

It all started when I put up those 2 big pictures. I had no idea they were going to be that large but they gave me a whole new inspiration. The theme before had a lot of red.
I only have a short time today to work on it since it's my granddaughter's birthday. I guess some things take priority. Besides, they're staying a a local hotel with a pool and it's going to be very hot today. Like I said, priorities... :D

Unless you turn it off via the Sims 3 launcher and remove say your Packages folder to help remove temptation. I've done this for some of my builds. Err... Taken out my Packages folder to reduce temptation of CC. lol

I first discovered I could really get involved with building when I downloaded the updated version of Sunset Valley (when I first met MrsFlynn). The first thing I did was clear all the houses from around the bay and build my own. Some I had kept and unfortunately, I've lost a couple of them. I may have to fire up the wayback machine because I still might have them somewhere.
Among those houses were a couple of 1-bedroom "bachelor pads" right on the beach. Sim David attained his LTW of becoming the CEO of a company. He retired and began a second career in architecture. Sim Chris was in Law Enforcement. He reached Ace Detective status and has stayed in the field becoming an investigator. They now reside comfortably in new, larger homes in Riverview.
I decided to move the small houses to Riverview.

Do you by any chance use the NRaas Register mod? It allows one to disable immigration. I always do that to limit the number of useless people in my towns.

Is it possible to convert a 1x1 window to a 2x1? I have the perfect window for the front gable but it's not centered. It's a Mutske "Perfect" window but unfortunately she only made it 1x1.

I completely understand. I'm that way too. I have a few houses that I built with the Sims 3 University windows that I installed to take a look at and was like oh no those windows (the game placed in) don't look right. The houses still look cute, but.... lol

I go through my mods and cc to make sure they're good. When I can't figure out what the issue is with the save I just start a new save. lol
It's odd that a fresh copy of Builder's Island isn't loading. That tells me it may have become not recognized by the game.

Builder's Island isn't store content, but it is a .Sims3Pack file, so I feel the linked info still relates.

The inspiration for this has been hanging on my livingroom wall since I visited Quebec City several years ago. I started collecting street art from places that I'd visited because it was easy to pack and didn't take up a lot of room.

Rebuilding Riverview, I wanted to turn the area where the Doo-Peas tower is into a business/entertainment/shopping district. So far I've added a large seafood restaurant, the Al Fresco Market and the Prism glass studio. I had two empty lots along the riverfront that I wanted to make into a shopping center but I wasn't sure how I wanted to do it. Then I noticed the painting on my wall and there was the idea.
Of course I had to pay homage to the street artist by placing his easel next to the art store on the corner.
I added a lot to the end in order to place the tower building which may become the new library.

I've had something in the back of my mind and I can't shake it loose. I'm hoping some suggestions will help.
I also thought about a pet store but I don't know if that will fit in with the theme of the shops.

If/when I get back to actually playing the game, all the elements are there that are needed to make the game work for the sims - hospital, police, military, school, town hall, etc.
The bookstore does actually work since I placed a rabbithole rug in it and it gets lots of activity. Sims will hang out in the store itself and disappear into the rabbithole if they are there to actually purchase a book.

This house showed up on my Facebook feed (I regularly get real estate listings) and I had to try it. Fortunately it was one of the few that came with the floor plan so I was able to copy it pretty closely. Unfortunately it was built on a sloped lot which I didn't take into account when I started so the lower level is missing. The house is enormous. Nearly 20,000 sq feet with 6 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms.
The wing on the left houses a basketball court on the lower level which should have been below grade. Above that is a man cave and an indoor golf center. The wing on the right side houses a multi-car garage on the main level and above that is a babe cave and a bedroom/bath.

I decided I needed it on a bigger lot so that the back yard wasn't so steep. I saved the lot to the library and bulldozed the house/lot and added a new 50x50 lot. It placed perfectly with the lowered area in place. I just lowered the new area. The kids will have fun rolling down the hill. :D

The front part is supposed to be a garage but I forgot set it up with CFE before I built the upper level. I tried to do it after the fact but it didn't work. So I guess it's become a family room instead of a garage.

I so wish my town had more room for lots. I've already bulldozed some larger ones and replaced them with a number of smaller ones that I could fit within the same space.

I've been trying to sort out the relationship thing and Ashley keeps coming up as Cassie's grandmother. I think I have it sorted and then she ends up as an aquaintance. ARGGHH!
I wonder if it's got something to do with the fact that Ashley is still using her maiden name even though the relationship shows husband/wife.

I rarely use adoption, because the adopted child always is an indistinct pudding face the randomly generated townies.
If the problem persists, my advice is to try and delete the child and retry the adoption.

Although I don't believe played Sims will bring their kids to your daycare Sim. At least not autonomously. I think the profession is scripted to only function when you actively play the daycarer.

What I was trying to find out was why Korry, a todder I created for a family that I've played, just sat and didn't crawl, or walk or play. I wondered if it had something to do with the fact that I'd created him with a family.
By creating another toddler, I was trying to see if she would act the same way when she arrived at the daycare because the random kiddos that were brought in were very active. However, she didn't turn up (I thought maybe one of the random ones wouldn't be there but Cassie might be) and Korry suddenly became quite active.
Did that make any more sense? :D

It's such a complete mess that it would be almost impossible to sort out due to all the CC. I can't wrap my head around how it would work. I guess the only thing I can do is share it and see what happens. You might want to wait until you have your new desktop though. :D
Much of the main components of the builds is CC - roofs/doors/windows, etc. I can post screenshots on my blog so that you can compare.

MrsFlynn forwarded that link for the catalog search a few days ago. I haven't downloaded it yet because there was mention on the MTS site (I think) that there might be a better one coming soon.
I'm noot sure that mod would even help me that much because even though I know exactly where to find what I'm looking, because I have so much content, I don't think it would be able to pinpoint exactly what I'm looking for. / I had downloaded a glass divider that went missing and was replaced by in the game with that vines thing.
I knew it was in furnishings/decor because I had just seen it a few minutes earlier when I was looking for something else. I'm not in the game at the moment so I can't try it but I don't know if "glass divider" would be specific enough.
As to the Riverview save file. Yes, there would be a lot of missing CC but I don't know that it would change the basic layout.
I think all the buildings would still be there and you could use it as a guidline to redesign them to your own taste. If you had questions about a specific object in a screenshot, I would direct you to the CC. Most of it comes from TSR.

It did find a couple of my favorite pieces - teapot lamp (but you had to be in Lighting) and my favorite Cashcraft rooster that is in all my kitchens came up with "rooster".
Another favorite is a basket with blue marbles in it but I coldn't make that come up. Luckily I know where to find it.
So it works but it's not magic. There is supposed to be a better one coming so we'll see.

I ran across a similar situation the other day. Wanted a specific house. It's saved, but not named. Luckily I found it in one of my folders. Still not named, but I know where it's at.
If the house has been placed in town, you might want to look through neighborhoods in your save file?

I have a No Auto Placing Community Lots mod that is in my mods folder at all times regardless if I'm building or playing. So I don't normally have to worry about spawners anymore.
It only works for new saved-games not saves that have already been started.

This game frustrates me to no end!
I have created many Sim families and saved them all to Bin. I have one Sim that I have to keep looking for in old saves, find her and save her but she never shows up in the bin. I shouldn't have to work so hard for this game. :o
I just had a thought. Can you only have so many families in the bin?

The term “painted ladies” refers to any historic house (usually a Victorian or Edwardian house) built in the late 1800s or early 1900s with three or more paint colors. You will see historic houses all around San Francisco, but the only true SF Painted Ladies are those with various colors on them.

The building with the blue roof has a hotel in it, but again, just for fun and not expecting it to be playable.
What I'm trying to accomplish now is to have an area where I can place several small lots in a row and have a small shop on each lot and recreate the shopping area in hopes that it will be functional.
I have all the residential lots cleaned up but have yet to do the community lots. One of these days I might have a Riverview that I can share.
But now it's dinnertime and my eyes feel like ... nevermind. :D As usual, I overdid it today.

A little shop on a little lot. There are 4 shops in the big building so I made 4 small lots in a row. I think I'll keep the big building and use it for something else because I really like it. I have an idea for it but that requires a fair amount of CC so for now I'll keep it empty.

After spending much of the day creating lots for small shops and not being happy with any of them, I decided to do some research.
I have come to the conclusion that I don't need to change anything because even though there are separate "shops" in the one building, it's still only one lot. I have mods to make it work but I wasn't usning them properly.
I'm going to change a few things and go Live and see what happens.
It's a good thing I'm retired and have nothing but time...except I'm busy tomorrow.

This is my seafood restaurant. The inspiration comes from my go-to restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale called Flip-Flops even though it looks nothing like mine.

Flip Flp's is on the Intracoastal Waterway and has a dock where people pull up in their boats to order food/bev.
Yesterday I spent hours trying different ideas for a dock and left it undecided. I was able to manipulate the terrain under the water and add columns for the dock platform.
Today I caan't put down any columns without getting an error message. I don't know what I'm doing differently than I did yesterday but it's not doing my blood pressure any good.
One good thing is a discovery I made (maybe you already kndw that. :D ). If you're working underwater, switch to night mode and you can see everything.

I set it up as a boarding house and there are 6 people in the household.
One of them is a bit of a player and thinks he's all that and a bag of chips.
I went "live" today with Amalie to see how everything iw working after installing Windows 11.
One of the first things that happended is that she wanted to go to see a game that was going on at the stadium.
I really wish it wasn't a rabbit hole because while she was in there, my naughty boy went in and I"d really love to see if there would have been any interaction. Guess I'll just watch and see if they come out together. :D

I just noticed that the shot of my build shows in-game windows. My build has custom content. Hmmm....

I had replaced the City Hall with the one that has the police department and the military base included.

I want to create a new couple (I seem to have lost Bender Dunnett) based on a series of books I've been reading. The series is sent around the Florida Keys and the Caribbean. Both people are sailors. In Their names are Jesse McDirmitt and Charity Styles. They each have their own stories. Jesse's series is 25 books long and so far Charity's is only 8. I've read all of Jesse's and I'm on the last one of Charity's.
Jesse is a "secret" agent of Homeland Security going after crime in the Caribbean. His cover is that of a fishing/dive charter captain with is huge boat.
Charity is covert agent of the CIA and is an assassin. Her boat is a beautifully crafted 90 year old sailing yacht. She sails it solo all over the world.
I though IP would be an appropriate setting for them and even though they work together in the books, they are not married to each other
For a long time I've held onto this house I found somewhere. Unfortunately I don't remember where but I've now found the perfect spot for it. I think this is where Jesse and and his (series) wife, Savannah Richmond will live with their young son whom they rescued from an abandoned boat where he'd been left to die when he was 8 years old. His name is Alberto.

Love your Island Paradise idea. It's good to take a break from things and try something new once in awhile. If Island Paradise gets too laggy or crashes remove/move the family that lives on the houseboat and remove all houseboats that you aren't using. These can create issues, I've been told. But you probably already knew that.

Al my store content got dropped from my game but I have it all back now. I should have just left well enough alone when M-soft decided I needed W11. Learning to use it would have been easier than dealing with the aftermath of chaning it back.
Fortunately I have most of it stored on an external HD so I didn't lose it all but thanks to Debacle M-soft, I'm having to replace a lot of it so that's what I've beeen working at this week in addition to playing around with IP.
For days I've been trying to find just the right spot for my new McDermitt family. I found a spot I really like but I'm having a problem making it work. Once again I'm trying to make the game do what it's not designed to do. :D . The biggest issue is trying to fit a round peg into a square hole - ie: the Bahama Breeze house won't go where I want it to without issues so I'm trying to create a fix. I may just have to build a similar hoouse but my eyes/brain aren't fully cooperating.
I've lost Bender Dunnitt so I'm going to recreate him and put him in IP. Hi character will fit one of the characters in the book series I'm reading. That character's name is DJ but I like the name Bender Dunnitt so I'm going to continue with that. I am going to give him a "love interest" who is another character in the book.
It dawned on me earlier (in the wee hours of the am when I seem to do most of my thinking instead of sleeping) that Jesse and Savannah have a daughter. Jesse and Savanna had a brief affair years ago and daughter Florence was the result. Jesse didn't know about her until he reconnected with Savannah 9 years later. Savannah wasn't sure Flo was Jesse's daughter because whe was married - though separated at the time she and Jesse met.
So, I'm going to add a teenage daughter to the family which means the Bahama Breeze house won't work because it's only 2 bedrroms and I'm sure a teenage girl won't want to share a room with her 8 y/o brother.

I think with that many books in a series you really get to know the characters and that made it like a giant book report (which I hated doing in school).

My Sim, a 5-star chef, Grayson Walmsley (see what I did there?), somehow ended up with a bass and a drum kit in his inventory. Whenever he had some downtime he'd pull out one of these instruments and start playing when I wanted him to be off doing other things, like going to the festival.
Then I discovered that I could sell the items using Nraas. We'll see how that works and if he suddenly ends up witn new instruments.
These sims and their obsessions! It's really funny how they all seem so different.

Edited to add: I gave up on Walmsley for now to focus on Taylor. Using Nraas Register I assigned her spot at the bar in Gabby's. Still says she's unemployed but when 7:00 came I sent her home. She immediately went back to working the bar so I guess I'll let it play out to see when she's ready to go home.
She served lobster to one of her customers and that customer took her plate and went to the sink behind the counter to clean up her own dishes. :D
It just dawned on my why they're serving food. I have the food register in the bar. I'm guessing there's no drinks register. :D

Taylor is serving more food than drink but the simoleons keep adding up. The notice says it's for mixing drinks so I don't know if that includes the food she serves. I've added a food register which generated a food merchant but that doesn't seem to be doing anything. I did ad a fence/gate at each open end of the bar and it seems to be keepting the riff-raff out from behind the bar but customers with the "neat" trait are going behind the bar and washing their own dishes. Weird.
And more random weirdness. The lights all went out and someone started telling spooky stories. :D
I remember reading that bars close at 3:00 a.m. so I waited to see what would happen. The bar didn't close at 3:00 a.m. so I sent Taylor home. She immediately turned around and went back to the bar. Looks like I'll have to manually dismiss her with Nraas Register. Her energy never diminished either.
Bender was hanging out at the bar. They exchanged a few words that didn't seem to go well. I haven't figured out if he's romantically interested in Taylor or just being a creepy stalker.

I recreated the House for Riverview but instead of being a B&B it became one of 3 rooming houses. The area where I grew up was called Riverview and it had many large homes built from about 1910-1920. Many of them ended up being rooming houses. My version of S3 Riverview is based on the real life Riverview.

I wouldn't exactly say it was a roaring success.
The only one in the pool was Robert and at 4:00 a.m. I finallly had to send him home (reset) because he wouldn't get out of the pool and I was afraid he was going to drown himself.

Yeah, they get some whacky ideas. I left Tailor for a bit because the household was glitching out and I thought switching households for a bit might straighten them out (and it did) but when I went back, I found Tailor running a concession stand at the Festival. I decided she was just filling in for a friend for the afternoon. Once I switched back to her, she quit and went to scarf down some hotdogs.

Yeah, a shower will get rid of the fleas on the sims. The pets need to be bathed or brushed. I put some pet washing stations in my pet shop in the library renovation in Roaring Heights because not everyone has a tub or if they do, they don't have enough room to bathe a pet. Though I think Roaring Heights is pretty bathtub heavy due the the time period it is reflecting.

It was the game that sent the parents off on vacation. I didn't know that was a thing. Things went well though. The plumbing broke and the dogs/kids got fleas but they handled it. Mom and dad are back and Florence was scolded by Jesse because she apparently missed going to her part-tme job because she was busy giving one of the dogs a bath.

The Moores and the Brealeys each have 4 or 5 kids. Those two families are based on real people. The Moores lived next door to us and the Brealeys were good friends. He and my husband worked together.
Most of my Sims are based on real people. My doc for example, and other friends. Some of them are based on celebrities - Shemar Moore from Criminal Minds is one. When I created him I showed him to my sister. She said he was cute but preferred Jamie Fraser from Outlander, so I reated him as well. Ramona Singer is from Real Housewives of New York. I was going through the randomizer looking for a new Sim and and as soon as I saw her I knew she was Ramona. I gave her all the characteristics of the real Ramona which aren't very pleasant. :D

All she did was stand at the bar and had one drink after another on an empty stomach. I expected her to get "juiced" but she didn't. She did have a slow dance with Frank Stem though it seems she's not much of a dancer. She kept stepping on his toes. I finally had to send her home at 5:00 a.m.
Next day she did some planing on her farm. She had just planted a rare seed and her horse Vudu came along and ate it.

She's a farmer. She has 3 horses, 2 of which are foals that need to be bottle fed andd "miss mother" so they need lots of attention. She has cows that need to be fed and milked. She has chickens that need to be fed and their eggs harvested. She has gardens which need to be planted, tended and harvested and in order to meet her LTW (First Class Farmer from the MTS Back to Nature mod), she has to sell a certain amount of produce. I tried putting Savvy Seller rugs at the end of her driveway and put eggs on them to see if they would sell. That didn't work so I have to figure out something else.
She can sell product directly from her inventory to the Simoleon symbol but it doesn't register in the Career panel as earnings or job experience. I thought that might be why the rugs or produce cart didn't work but I guess not.
I thought this would be an easy one to just let it play out on it's own but she'd rather sit in her rocking chair rather than feed her starving horses.
I know two real life black and white horses that are named Voodoo so that's why mine is named Vudu. It's not a misspelling. :)

I know selling the produce at the grocery store rabbithole should count. Milk can be made into cheese and the cheese can be sold. I don't know if the eggs count toward the career - they should - but if not eggs are used in a lot of recipes, so this should reduce the grocery bill. I had Frank sell his produce at the store or use it to make nectar and sell the nectar.

I had to rework the lot a bit because there was a slight gap between the lot and the sidewalk and the Sims would pitch a fit when they had to cross it. But what really puzzles me is that it's early morning on the ranch, Allison is having breakfast and Frank just came downstairs in his underwear. Hmmmm... Pretty brazen and presumptuous if you ask me. Not sure how he got there as he's not a resident of the household. Hanky-panky is afoot.

Yep, normal behavior for a dog. I remember taking my dog with me to go up to my family's property about 90 minutes from the house. He found a fresh cow pie to roll in. Despite hosing him down the best I could before heading home, and driving with the windows down, the smell was awful. The first stop when I got back to town was the dog wash.

I've learned I have to pay attention to little tricks. Bender needed to collect 4 turquoise gems. He found several uncut stones and it took me a minute to realize that I could have them cut. Nothing happened until I discovered he put the uncut stone into the mail and received cut stones back in the mailbox. It's not nice to play tricks on my addled little brain.
Anyway, during his exploration of the first tomb he discovered he needs to collect something from China before he can continue in Egypt. The good news is that he successfully returned home to rest up, put in a copule days work and head out to China. So far, so good.

Leading me to believe that either the mod isn't in the mods folder or maybe it isn't working correctly, the stairs or maybe mod needs to be replaced, like you mentioned.
The toddlers can use stairs mod - I can't remember the name of it either, has always been a tricky mod for me. So I just quit trying to work with it.

It took me a min to figure it out but you're right. I thought you meant the stairs were mods but they are regular stairs. I did have the "toddlers can use stairs (or whatever it's called) mod in my mods folder but when I was having problems with Bender in his travels, I took a lot of the misc mods out. What's puzzling is that none of the other stairs appear to have been affected as far as I can tell because Bender has no problem going in and out of his house or up and down the stairs inside. It also didn't affect the stairs inside the Saltwood House. Strange. Probably just replacing the stairs will fix that and then I'll see what happens if I replace the mod. I needed it for the Moore house because they kept getting stuck at the top of the stiars if they were carrying the toddler.
I've experienced the same thing with other houses. I typically delete and replace the stairs when I start using a new house because I never had the Toddlers Can Use Stairs mod.

I don't remember where I got the golf course but I really like it. It works very well and it seemed most of the citisims of Riverview were there. It is well fitted out with music and people dancing, the bar where one could order a variety of food and drink.

Yeah, that looks like some kind of routing error. Sometimes I figure out how to fix these and other times I can't. Stairs are usually the problem though.

Replaced the Previous bookshelf units with SS shelving and added a couple of rugs.I like the looks of the Savvy Seller shelves, and forgetting they were Savvy Seller, I put them in my one of my sim's houses. They threw a party, and it took me awhile to understand why everyone was gravitating to the bedroom, giving a chef's kiss to or a thumbs down with a raspberry regarding the stuff on shelf and then creating the cha-ching sound. Now every time I see a builder creating a house and use those shelves, I remember that incident.

I guess I'm going to have to remove the fridge from the staff room. People seem to think they have the right to come in and steal staff lunches. Beatrice Jam seated herself in the bridal shop and is enjoying someone else's lunch.

You may have already noticed this - the sit down arcade games needs some seats on either side so they can be played. -- Screenshot 25.
And the tables in Screenshot 26 may need more space between them as well. It looks like 3 of them are fooseball like tables. Not sure what the other 3 are.

I went live with it and it seemed to work ok except for dad's tantrum when he wanted the computer. And the door works fine with the wreath on it.
I'm pretty sure it's clean - no CC - but it wouldn't hurt to run a scan on it.

I made sure MOO was off so try it again and let's see what happens. I'd forgotten about the toddler/stairs Mod but my Sims didn't have a problem with stairs. Not sure why it would be different but I did have a couple of them "zoom" upstairs.

I'm still working out furniture arrangement for the livingroom because I realized I have no tv and sometimes it comes up as an activity. I thought I'd actually achieved having the stockings actually hanging on the fireplace using MOO but discovered the stockings were hanging in mid-air. Not good.
I also took away the computer since it seemed to be a bone of contention.
I'm still waiting for snow so I can take some winter screenshots.
Still test-driving.
I added it to the Christmas town. I had trouble installing the family, but I think it was due to EA's issues. They were a Sims3 file, so I converted them to a package file. I had to replace the stairs as well due to them being placed with the toddler mod, but routing is working now. Here's some pictures. I love the one with all three houses and the train.
