When we see the error -- Missing Objects Couldn't be Loaded and Have Been Replaced -- It means either expansion/stuff packs aren't enabled, Sims 3 store content or custom content is being finicky, have been uninstalled, or are missing and needs to be looked into.
To troubleshoot the issue:
1. If you are using the Origin/EA 1.69 version - Open the launcher to see what packs are enabled via the Expansion and Stuff Pack tab. It's a known issue that the launcher will forget what packs you have installed from time to time and you'll need to keep an eye on that.
If needed, log into your EA account and check your Order History or what has been gifted to your account to make sure your account shows that you own the packs you do. If not, you'll need to check with EA's Customer Service.
2. For All players (Steam, Disc, Origin/EA, etc). - Make sure your Sims 3 store content is installed. If installed via .Sims3Pack files. Open the launcher and go to the Downloads tab to see if there's anything that isn't installed and reinstall it. Check the Installed Content tab to make sure it's been installed.
– Note: The launcher is very finicky and will forget that packs, Any store content or custom content (that is in .Sims3Pack format) are installed. If you find this content missing try: (this helps with all .Sims3Pack files)
⚬ Delete the igs.bin and platform.bin files in the SigsCache folder
- \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\SigsCache
Launch the game again to see if that helps. The game will regenerate these files. If not, try the tip below:
++ For this tip, please be sure to have your store content and custom content backed up. Deleting the files in the folder mentioned below deletes both the installed store content and custom content that is installed via the Sims 3 launcher. -- However, deleting just the missingdeps.idx file should not delete store or custom content.
⚬ Delete the missingdeps.idx, dcc.ent, and dcdb0.ebc files from the DCCache Folder
- \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\DCCache
----
Making sure custom content is installed is a little trickier as it depends on how you install the CC. (via launcher, mods\package folder or via a custom content manager like CC Magic.)
– Again, if you installed it via the Sims 3 launcher (.Sims3Pack Files), open the launcher and go to the Downloads tab to see if there's anything that isn't installed and reinstall it. Check the Installed Content tab to make sure it's been installed.
To troubleshoot mods and custom content even further see this post (https://jadekitten.net/mfhot/index.php?topic=92.msg415#msg415): Sims 3 - How-To: Fix Problems with Mods/CC
– If you installed cc via the mods\package folder (.package files) you can view it with a couple of tools.
Sims 3 Thumbnail Extractor - It extracts thumbnails in .png of your cc files. See my How-to here (https://jadekitten.net/mfhot/index.php?topic=483.msg6127#msg6127). Works on both .package and .Sims3Pack files.
S3Package Viewer. Read more about it here (http://www.simlogical.com/ContentUploadsRemote/uploads/1953/). It can only read cc .package files. Some objects show thumbnails, some don't. See my how-to post (https://jadekitten.net/mfhot/index.php?topic=62.msg210#msg210) on using this tool.
If you feel there's custom content missing you may want to check the folder you downloaded your cc files to to see if you need to reinstall it. If it still doesn't show in-game delete the game's cache files. For reference they are:
– CasPartCache.package ; compositorCache.package ; scriptCache.package ; simCompositorCache.package ; socialCache.package
** Every time you add, delete, or remove mods or custom content from your Packages and/or Overrides folder, you must delete the cache files. If you do not do this, newly added content will not appear in your game, or if it appears, it may not act like intended and lingering data can be present even though you removed a mod or custom content.
Try installing just the missing CC to see if that helps. Do delete the cache files before testing each batch of a handful or two.
