Title: Sims 3 Package Viewer
Post by: MrsFlynn on December 11, 2020, 03:42:49 AM
This is a program that allows you to look at .package files.

I find it very helpful in cleaning up my custom content. Though I have noticed that it doesn't show thumbnail photos of some custom content files, such as the posters I've made with DouglasVeiga's Poster Loader Studio. I'm not sure why that is other than the cc piece doesn't have whatever the package viewer is looking for when looking for thumbnails.

~ To Download and Open Program:

   1. Download to your desktop and install it from there.

   2. It will create a folder on your desktop named Package Viewer.

   3. Double-click the folder and look for the file PackageViewer.exe and double-click it to open it.

~ To Use Sims 3 Package Viewer:

   1. Click the word file up to the left and select Open Folder.

   2. Navigate to where your custom content folder is located.

   3. In the Packages Found you should find a list of files that can be looked at.

-- Please note that some of the files may not have thumbnails. I am not sure why this is other than they weren't made, or the program can't find one.

-- With this program you can disable, delete and show packages as well. Good for if you want to either disable or delete any custom content you have.

-- The Show It button will take you to the package file in File Explorer.
