Installing the Sim:

There are two ways to install the Sim by .sim file or by .package. No need to add both to game.

The .sim file gets copied into:
\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\SavedSims
and can be found in CAS > Premade Sims

Or

The .package file gets copied into:
\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Library
and can be found in the household library in-game.

The custom content needs to be installed to:
\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder
✽ Depending on how you have your mods folder setup.
