I took some screenshots last night, but wasn't happy with them. So I jumped in-game to grab some more.
I renovated the main floor and the upper half floor, but didn't do anything with the basement. lol It still has the shape of the original house. Not sure I want to change that. I'll have to think on that a bit more. Otherwise I am really happy with it. Specially that I was able to get windows in the garage!! Whoot!!

I went in to furnish mine. I got the first floor done, the went to live mode to save so I didn't lose any progress. This brought me back to the McHugh's house, and I remembered I wanted to move Regan's alchemy station downstairs and turn the small upstairs room into a bathroom. I swear I was only there for a few minutes, but someone moved into the the attached garage house while I was away. I switched over to her to finish furnishing the basement on her dime.
She came with a car, so it's nice that she has a garage to keep it in.
Her name is Jessie Fenton, and she's part ambitious genius perfectionist and part friendly party girl. She's falling hard and fast in love with Tory Anders who used to work in the clothing store at the Riverwalk Shops, but is now her coworker at the bank. (I dropped a business/journalism rabbithole rug in there. I wish there were separate rugs so I could put the journalism one in the journalism building and a business one at the bank, but both places are now a combo.)
Here's some pictures of the interior.

I built mine on Builder's Island. Nobody lives there so no squatters.

I love how we did similar kitchens to each other!! It's awesome to see that we took the same house and how different they each turned out to be. lol
Here's some overview screenshots of how I furnished the house.
The house was inspired by the Shotgun Style house in Sunset Valley. I used it several times in testing Lyralei's sewing machine. I'd renovate the house and save it to the library a few times.
One day I was like I'd like to build the house on a smaller lot, so I could basically move it or even use it where-ever I'd like or add this or that too it.
I did use some Sims from the library to grab the furnishing from the original house to use in my build and evicted them after I added the furniture to the house.

The layout of the kitchen actually dictated how it should look but I do like the individuality of each of the builds. And that's as it should be. We all have different styles. And...I have to add...I used no CC.
Now *that* was the real challenge.
