Monte Vista and Hidden Springs - needed a redeem codes for both.
Dragon Valley is a nice town too.  There is a big house that I used to create a Camelot scenario.  It's awesome.  Three characters and three horses.  Complete with a barn.  Merlin lives in the loft of the barn so he can practice his magic and Prince Arthur and Guinevere live in the house.  All Candle lights, no electricity.  Off grid so to speak.  Very Medieval.

You should share that story in Storybrooke. I'd like to see it.

Yikes Nindigo, that was a raw deal. I tried purchasing something last last year and gave up as I couldn't for the life of me figure out where it went! lol it probably needed it's code claiming too.

I remember buying HS from ebay and it was a real headache to redeem it! I was soooo disappointed to open the box only to find a slip of paper w/the code on it!! I eventually had to show them proof of my purchase in order to redeem that code. : / Never buying sims 3 stuff used again! EA is just getting too persnickety, LOL

Hi Lapaige and everyone.  I'm afraid I gave up on storybook telling in the Sims 2.  I used to try it and everytime I'd go in it would be gone and I had to retype it.  I quickly gave up on it.  Never tried with S3.  All my towns and scenarios are in my head.  I almost always have a theme and I love coming up with the ideas and making them happen.  My Camelot story is based off the TV series Merlin, which is a wonderfully entertaining show if you like medieval things.  It's on Netflix.  I instantly fell in love with it.  The town Dragon Valley couldn't be more perfect.

Hi, Bear. I don't do "stories" either as such but I do have one that MrsFlynn has asked me to share. I'm still working on it.
One of the things, and I think she suggested this, is to write your story in a word document then copy/paste it to the forum.

I've seen the Camelot TV series and it would be fun to see some of your creations. I'm currently recreating a fictional village base on a book series I've just finished reading. It's been a complicated process and probably will be totally unplayable when I'm just due to just the sheer volume of CC I have loaded into it. (I think I've mentioned that I'm addicted to CC). :D

If you're a reader and like mysteries, I suggest the Inspector Gamache series by Louise Penny. You'll know exactly what I'm trying to accomplish. The setting is modern day, but in an old village in Quebec near the Vermont border. They village is fictional but the area known as the Eastern Townships, is real. There was a made for tv movie for the first of the books. (totally miscast in my opinion).

Get Store Content and/or .Sims3Pack Files Recognized By Game

~ Get Store Content and/or .Sims3Pack Files Recognized By Game

Updated: Jan. 2024

It seems like for the most part, downloading from the Sims 3 Store's website: (https://store.thesims3.com/) an item's page, purchase history page: (http://store.thesims3.com/purchaseHistory.html) to the Sims 3 Downloads folder, isn't quite the issue.

Where the problem comes in is getting the game to recognize the content (Store and/or .Sim3Pack files) are already installed.

Regardless what platform you're using [EA; Steam; Disc or Other], fully exit it and the game.  Delete these files out of the Sims 3 user folder. (C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3)

Delete tslus.bin and Version.tag from the Sims 3 folder.
▪︎ C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3

Delete FSIViewCountTracking; Nav.bin if there, "myemail".bin and wl.bin from the Downloads folder:
▪︎ C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads

Delete most of the files in the DCBackup folder, except for ccmerged.package
▪︎ C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\DCBackup

Delete the missingdeps.idx file from the DCCache Folder:
▪︎ C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\DCCache

Delete the igs.bin and platform.bin files in the SigsCache folder:
▪︎ C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\SigsCache

+✦+ Deleting these files may help fix issues with any Store, custom content and mods not installing or not showing in-game.

- tslus.bin: Can be delete. Related to the Sims 3 Launcher. Not sure exactly what it does, but I've deleted it and game is okay.
- Version.tag:  Can be deleted. It helps with Sims 3 Launcher issues like Downloading/Installing.

If uncomfortable deleting the files mentioned above, save a copy of your Sims 3 folder to your desktop or usb drive for back up purposes. Then try deleting the files.
