The Story Behind the Build

Do you like to build? Do your builds have a "story"?

I've been "building" since I was a little kid raking leaves into rooms in my front yard. I didn't even know that architect was a word at that age. A few years later I was told that I didn't have the math skills to be an architect (long before computers did all that stuff). As an adult, I designed 3 of the homes we had built and one for a friend. I have traveled quite a bit and much of my interest is the architecture of the area. I was quite excited to discover I could build in Sims 3 so now I'm trying to recreate places that I've seen in my travels. Most of my builds are vintage or historic and have a story.

Saltwood House, B&B, Cape May, NJ.

Cape May, NJ has a lot of beautiful homes of many different styles, mostly converted to B&Bs. We were there in the early 90's and got some pictures.
I have found some pictures online and I see that I didn't make my house deep enough so I'm short a few rooms. It's also crammed with antiques so the interior doesn't really reflect what it looks like. I use a *ton* of CC.

This is a picture of the original house.



This is my first (unfinished) effort to recreate it.



I eventually dropped the awnings because they hid the beautiful windows.
