:D  The first time I did it, I completely messed it up. I thought I had to remove the roof and walls of the house then the CFE went crazy so I backed out of it. Went back in and just removed the garage walls and didn't disturb anything else and it worked!

Well something I did at the last minute yesterday when I was in a rush to finish what I was doing before shutting down for the evening has messed things up. My saved games aren't loading. The loading bar gets to the tiniest last bit and stalls there so now I have to start figuring out what went haywire.

Builder's Island with nothing on it isn't even loading. I know what I have to do and I'm just having a whine.

I've had that (save loads to very end of bar and then crashes). For me it was due to bad cc being installed or something happened to the saved game itself.

I go through my mods and cc to make sure they're good. When I can't figure out what the issue is with the save I just start a new save. lol

It's odd that a fresh copy of Builder's Island isn't loading. That tells me it may have become not recognized by the game.

We've got a post here that might help with that. - Get Store Content Recognized By Game.

Builder's Island isn't store content, but it is a .Sims3Pack file, so I feel the linked info still relates.

I'm curious if you find out what happened.

As I said, I know what I had to do and I got it figured out. It was a bad mod - Addlotsize. Oddly I've used this for a very long time and it hasn't caused a problem. It, among others got deleted a while back (don't remember why) and I remembered that I put it back yesterday. I removed it and everything is fine now. I'm going to try putting it back once I've done a few things I need to do just to see what happens.

It wasn't letting any of my saves or even a new game load.

If it's the same Add Any Lot Size mod I've been using for what seems like ages. That's odd. As I have that mod installed now and it's not causing any problems.

However, I have had issues with mods not working correctly when I've had them installed for ever.

I've no doubt it's the same mod you are using because it's the same as I've been using forever. Very strange that I was causing a problem when I reinstalled it yesterday. It makes me wonder if it just didn't install correctly. I'll put it back in a few minutes to see what happens.

The Josiah Smith House - C. 1783. Part 1

Several years ago I was visiting Charleston SC and took a picture of this amazing house. This is not my photo but I took the exact same shot.

I started Sim-building it months ago and since I had no other reference, I just guessed at the floor plan. Then last week I was exploring on Google Earth and found it and it's name and further searching led me to the floor plan. I was not very far off!! I built it on the hill in Riverview where the blue Victorian used to be.

Meet Mr. Josiah Smith. He looks pretty darn good for someone who's about 250 years old.
