The inspiration for these 3 houses comes from the town of Port Townsend in WA where there are many of these grand old Victorians.

Lovely houses! Are they recent ones? If so, you must be feeling better. Maybe seeing some improvement?

Thank you. No, they're not new. I'm going through my houses and clearing them of CC to clean up Riverview. MrsFlynn just informed me that there's a glitch in this post. Blogging doesn't seem to want to be my friend. :D

I'm trying to turn this

Into individual shops.
My eyes aren't cooperating.  *insert grumpy face and curse word here* :D

I love that shopping area! I wish we could create multi-use lots so apartments could be on the floors above.

That's what I was going for initially. I ended up building just for fun and not actually expecting it would be playable. That building with the red roof had 4 separate shops in it with 4 separate cash registers. I saw a Youtube video a while ago where someone had built a shopping center with multiple registers that actually worked. It didn't seem to work with mine.

The building with the blue roof has a hotel in it, but again, just for fun and not expecting it to be playable.

What I'm trying to accomplish now is to have an area where I can place several small lots in a row and have a small shop on each lot and recreate the shopping area  in hopes that it will be functional.

I have all the residential lots cleaned up but have yet to do the community lots. One of these days I might have a Riverview that I can share.

But now it's dinnertime and my eyes feel like ... nevermind. :D As usual, I overdid it today.

The only thing I can think of is you'll have to build single shoppes on smaller lots?

A little shop on a little lot. There are 4 shops in the big building so I made 4 small lots in a row. I think I'll keep the big building and use it for something else because I really like it. I have an idea for it but that requires a fair amount of CC so for now I'll keep it empty.
