Revisiting Saltwood House.

I while back I built this house based on one that I had taken a picture of when we were in Cape May, New Jersey. It's a lovely B&B.

My interpretation. I've discovered that awnings don't work on a hip roof. They end up sitting on the eaves.

I decided to go drop in to see what the residents were up to. I have 6 adults living there. I randomized all of them including their traits and LTW. I updated their appearance slightly - hair and wardrobe.

Weston and Angela Delaware. Husband and wife who run the place.
Alex is an Agricultural Mastermind- Good sense of humor, good, neat, green thumb and friendly.
Angela is the Woman of the House - Bookworm, handy, neat, natural cook, and charismatic.

The residents:

Johnny Dockery - The house clown. He's an athlete - Good, athletic, easily impressed, childish, schmoozer.

James Reed. Didn't change a thing about him. He was perfect as he was. He's the Assistant Fire Chief. - Brave, good sense of humor, bookworm, friendly, lucky.

The Twins - Wynter and Autymn Sullivan
Wynter is in education. Genius, bookworm, perceptive, hopeless romantic, artistic.
Autymn is in theatre. Dramatic, bookworm, schmoozer, friendly, natural born performer.

I only have single wide staircases in the house and so far I've not had any routing conflict. Where I did have a problem was in the kitchen because people kept running into each other. So I had to expand it. So far, so good.
I added a powder room near the kitchen so people didn't have to run upstairs even though they all have their own bathrooms and there's an extra one in the attic rec room. But I found that everyone was trying to wash their dishes in the bathroom sink because it was closer than the kitchen sink. I have to rethink the whole power room thing. The problem is, when you change one thing, you have to change 6 other things to make it fit.

Thanks. I had removed the awnings initially because I had used Bau5 windows and they ended up being covered up with the awnings. When I revisited, the windows were gone and had been replaced by base game windows. I think that must have happened when I had lost it all and had to start over. I hadn't reinstalled Bau5.
I kept the base windows on this one and used the awnings.

In spite of changing the doorway to the downstairs powder room, everyone was lined up trying to do their dishes in the sink so I ended up deleting it completely.

We had a little morning mayhem though. :D

As usual, Johnny was in the way as he always seems to be and James was just getting the heck out of there even though he was starving and wanted breakfast. A lot of them seem to be walking around with little green clouds following them. Not to many showers happening, I guess.
Wynter ended up losing her breakfast.

She'd better not be pregnant!  :o If so, it must have happened when I wasn't looking. I might have to shut down story progression.

This is a real estate listing in my community. Since I have no money cheats that would allow me to buy it, I decided I'd build it in my New Riverview where there is a real estate cheat. :D

Roofing was interesting with mansards in a gable and dormers in a mansard. I don't like the way the mansard is showing on the side of the house. I tried making the mansard smaller but it didn't look right and the dormer was off-centre.

The . 40x40 lot.

Challenge House #6. - Duncan.
After discussion about adding an attic, I placed some dormers and now I have a nice little den upstairs.
