Yes. I didn't modify the interior in any way. Just the exterior. I did a test drive and it actually works. I have a rabbithole rug under the one closest to the door and people were using it. My active sim was able to purchase a book. Lots of other sims are gathering and chatting, while a few are reading. I'm happy with it.

Oh, Lapaige - do you know there is a bookshop cash register that comes with the World Adventures expansion pack?
I have placed mine in the library to test. It comes with set open hours. The other one is from the Supernatural elixir shop and is open around the clock.

I did know that but I don't have WA so I use this MOD from MTS. :)

A tale of two houses - today's project.

I first discovered I could really get involved with building when I downloaded the updated version of Sunset Valley (when I first met MrsFlynn). The first thing I did was clear all the houses from around the bay and build my own. Some I had kept and unfortunately, I've lost a couple of them. I may have to fire up the wayback machine because I still might have them somewhere.

Among those houses were a couple of 1-bedroom "bachelor pads" right on the beach. Sim David attained his LTW of becoming the CEO of a company. He retired and began a second career in architecture. Sim Chris was in Law Enforcement. He reached Ace Detective status and has stayed in the field becoming an investigator. They now reside comfortably in new, larger homes in Riverview.

I decided to move the small houses to Riverview.

Then I decided they needed an upgrade.

Since both houses are vacant and furnished, I expect there will be new residents in town next time I go live. I'll check them out and decide whether or not they can stay. :)

The "wayback machine" 😂 ;D

Although English isn't my native language, I seem to easily pick up what different expressions mean even if I haven't heard them before. I love that.

Do you by any chance use the NRaas Register mod? It allows one to disable immigration. I always do that to limit the number of useless people in my towns.

Years ago my kids were little, there was a cartoon on tv called Rocky and Bullwinkle. Rocky was a flying squirrel and Bullwinkle was a moose. Their sidekicks were Mr Peabody who was a scientist (and a dog) and Sherman was his pet boy. They built a time machine they called the WABAC (or "wayback"). So I can't take credit. :D

I just downloaded Register recently but haven't actually used it yet.

I am working on a new house with only a couple of photos for guidance. It's as though all the CC windows I've accumulated were made for this house and I'm very happy about that...except for one thing.

Is it possible to convert a 1x1 window to a 2x1? I have the perfect window for the front gable but it's not centered. It's a Mutske "Perfect" window but unfortunately she only made it 1x1.

I'm sure it's possible, but doable for those of us without the knowledge of creating custom content, probably not.

Is there a way to place a 1x1 and then one right next to it?

That's what I figured. Most of her windows have that option except for the one I need.

Placing them next to each other won't work. I do have another window I can put there but it's not quite right and you know what a stickler I am for details. :D

I'm not in the game at the moment since I was headed for the shower an hour ago but ended up yet again in the TSR rabbithole.  :o
