I don't mind doing this at all.  I only have a couple of community properties left to fix.

Why do I continue to try and do things that only aggravate and frustrate me.
This is my seafood restaurant. The inspiration comes from my go-to restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale called Flip-Flops even though it looks nothing like mine.

Flip Flp's is on the Intracoastal Waterway and has a dock where people pull up in their boats to order food/bev.

Yesterday I spent hours trying different ideas for a dock and left it undecided. I was able to manipulate the terrain under the water and add columns for the dock platform.
Today I caan't put down any columns without getting an error message. I don't know what I'm doing differently than I did yesterday but it's not doing my blood pressure any good.
One good thing is a discovery I made (maybe you already kndw that. :D ). If you're working underwater, switch to night mode and you can see everything.

I built this house a while ago based on a B&B which is located in Cape May, NJ.

I set it up as a boarding house and there are 6 people in the household.
One of them is a bit of a player and thinks he's all that and a bag of chips.

I went "live" today with Amalie to see how everything iw working after installing Windows 11.
One of the first things that happended is that she wanted to go to see a game that was going on at the stadium.
I really wish it wasn't a rabbit hole because while she was in there, my naughty boy  went in and I"d really love to see if there would have been any interaction. Guess I'll just watch and see if they come out together. :D
"Naughty Boy" - Jonny Dockery. Good, Schmoozer, Childish, Easily Impressed, Athletic.

I just noticed that the shot of my build shows in-game windows. My build has custom content. Hmmm....

I also just noticed that Amalie is "super  juiced". It must have been when she stopped in at the bistro. If she's juiced up and runs into Jonny there could be trouble. :O

Edited to add: Amalie is boring. She went home and read for a while, then chatted with Elise on the phone. I have a feeling she must have taken some notice of Jonny and he might have been the topic of conversation. Jonny wasn't much better. He went home, played a bit of foosball and went to bed.

I've notice that sometimes when I switch to a new sim, they are "super juiced" too. I've got one guy in Cape Albacore who 1) wet himself at the dance club a few nights before I took control of him, 2) was super juiced when I did take control, and wanted to join the police force, then 3) drove his car while super juiced to apply for the job. Sheesh! Evidence is showing he's not very conscientious about his responsibilities as a peace officer, and his boss isn't happy with him. But that's in the upcoming episode that I haven't put together yet.  Nice house, by the way. I wonder why the windows were replaced. They look fine, though.

Since rebuilding Riverview, I never really played in it at all but I've had my new guy active for a little bit. He's currently in Law Enforcement and is at work.
I had replaced the City Hall with the one that has the police department and the military base included.
There was  a lot of noise while my guy was at work and I realized it was shouted commands, marching and the sound of bugles coming from the Military base. It took me a nimute to figure it out. :D

Yeah, if you get up close to the rabbitholes you can hear sound effects. It works that way with the hospital too. Not sure about the other ones.

I didn't realize that because I usually play with most sounds muted. All these years I've been missing something. :D

This house has a few issues. Because I used custom windows and curtains, they've been replaced by in-game windows and the ubiquitous Obelisk vine.
You'll also need to use the buydebug cheat to get rid of the junk spawners. It seems I built this house on a junkyard.
