Looks like it's mostly improvements to the FPS limiter and works better with Origin.

I was browsing ModtheSims and saw that the Smooth Patch had been update recently, so I thought I'd pass the info.

Smooth Patch 1.2.1 -- Updated 15th Feb 2022
https://modthesims.info/d/658759/smooth-patch-1-2-1.html
-- Links back to newer broken version.

Update 1.2.1:
- Optimized FPS Limiter.
- General Optimization.
- Borderless should now work better, even if you change resolutions in-game.

See this post for notes on patch and help with install.

I have it. Or rather, I decided to use their custom launcher instead which has it built in.

This is from Lazy Duchess and is meant to be used alongside with the smooth patch. But unlike that, this one goes into the mods/packages folder. It works incredibly well for me - CAS clothing really does load in a second with it :o

I will note, though, that you can't always just click on the tab for next outfit type. You will have til close the current outfit window. I'm sure Lazy Duchess is aware of the issue since it's an obvious one.

There's a new upgrade for this -
https://modthesims.info/d/658759/smooth-patch-2-1.html

But I've just been reading the comments and it doesn't appear to be working properly. It may be due to operator error but I'm not going to install it just yet.

I know about the updated Smooth Patch (v2.1) and know of it's issues.  That's why I haven't posted about it.

I won't be updating to the newer version either.  There seems to be quite a few players that have gone back v.1.0.

I didn't get a copy of the Origin version, but do have the Disc/Steam version.  However, I did see looking through comments that Nitromon in comment #340 shared a copy of v1.0 for Origin.  -- Direct Download Link for v.1.0 Origin version.  Note: I may need to remove the post link and direct download link at a later date.

One of the biggest problems seems to be a lot of players like to play with MasterController and it's add-ons. And it seems like a couple or more of the MC add-ons are conflicting with the newest Smooth Patch.

I'm not sure what the MC add-ons are. I haven't explored it that much since I don't play that much.

Nraas MasterController
https://www.nraas.net/community/MasterController

MC Cheats; MC Expanded Tattoo; MC Integration; and MC Progression

I have both Cheats and Integration installed. Cheats I think ? expands on what the main MasterController offers.  And Integration replaces CAS interactions and includes a CAS button while in Edit Town Mode.

Not sure what the others do.

I think I have progression but I keep it turned off. I may have the other ones too but I'm not sure. I'll have to check.
