Ah that's what those are. I thought that might have been some kind of fancy archway or something.

Thank you for the tip to remove the chimney!!  I actually thought of putting one in the parlor on the outer wall on the right side, but like the light that the windows bring in, so I left the the fireplace being in the livingroom.

Yay!! That worked = Buy mode with moveobjects on, grab the chimney and delete it!! Thank you!! That was bugging me to have that there.

Went for my walk, picked up my Rx and probably not going to get into stitching today so I'm going to carry on with my house.

I think the parlor might have something like this, judging from the plan.

These are also from Bau5

I was thinking it might have something like the shelf-columns, but because of the arches leading to the livingroom from the foyer and from the parlor to the livingroom I choose to leave it a solid wall and put an arch in the middle. When I tried those pieces, it just didn't look right to me, with the other arches.

The reason I ended up adding 3 bathrooms on the 2nd story was I wanted more than one bathroom, but also to help fill in some of the space.

I think I am better understanding the camera jump you've mentioned before. I think it might be due to us working with a house with a foundation, possibly?  I don't know. I am noticing it more with this build.

I've been noticing it a lot when I have built temporary walls in the yard to test out wall coverings, colors and textures. Trying to zoom in to a wall piece in the yard to see what it looks like up close and the camera tries to go up instead of getting a closer look.

Someone mentioned once, and I can't remember exactly if it was regarding the jumping, but it might have something to do with the proximity of trees or other obstructions interfering with the camera angle. Sounded good to me. :D

Got my attic finished as much as it's going to be. I had to fiddle with the roof a bit to make the walls work. I saw instructions somewhere about how to make sloped attic ceilings, but I don't remember where I saw it and it seemed like a lot of confusion to me. One day I'll figure it out.

Removing the chimney is done in build mode/move objects on.

That makes a lot of sense, trees/other obstructions interfering with the camera angle.  I've got a hill and trees behind the house along with working with the foundation.

I'm still undecided on the attic, can you show me some photos of how you made it work?

I remember reading sloped attics can be done. I too don't remember where I saw the instructions. I have a feeling it has to do with those build cheats that I still have yet to get the hang of.

I raised the roof enough to put walls in.

When you built the attic, do you have viewable grid lines outside when looking down on the roof?  Let me grab an example photo of what I'm talking about.

What I am talking about is the grid lines around the top of the roof when looking down at the roof.
