Ooooh you're right they don't!! Hmm... Time to rethink the attic thing then. :)

Whoot!! Now we have an attic!!

I was able to make a single staircase up to the attic. Doing it that way just felt right and looks so like it belongs.  Added the lights temporarily for the photo as it's really dark in the attic without them.

I'm so pleased with how the attic turned out that I fully removed the chimney or else it looks like it's just hanging in thin air and that doesn't look right.

I try to make my builds as authentic as possible so a single stair is what would have been used to get to the attic.

I have to go back to Bau5 because I saw some panelling and thought I had downloaded it but I can't find it. I also can't find the archway shelves I just showed you. I know they're in my clutter somewhere.

I really, really, really need to get my stuff sorted out so I can find what I'm looking for.

It's almost dinnertime now. I kind of have my second floor sorted out so I'm done for today.

Ciao~~ Over and out!

Thank you!! I am really happy with how the house is turning out. I'll take new progress photos either later this evening or tomorrow.

Here's what my house looks like so far. Got wood floors installed!! lol

Got placeholder wall covering on all the walls. I'm hoping to see if we can find wall coverings that go with the time period of early 1900s, but not quite sure what to search for.

That's something to check into tomorrow, when my think-box isn't trying to shut down from being really -really- tired.

Go to TSR3/Patterns and put "vintage" into the search. Having said that, many of the in-game wallpapers would be suitable. If you recolor them, you can find lots of patterns in fabrics that will work for wallpaper. I'll check tomorrow. Some panelling would be appropriate as well.

Thank you for the tips!! I did some searching for patterns and wall coverings and found some ideas, along with the tip of paneling.

I'm going to jump in my build to see what I can come up with.

You probably already know this but here's what I meant about recoloring.

This is regular wallpaper. I recolored using "fabric" for the top part and "geometric" for the bottom.

Same pattern but this time using panelling.

Thank you for showing the example. What you show looks similar to what I used.

This is what I did for wall coverings:

And just because... I did a test of making the back porch bigger.

Before:

After:

I really like the bigger back porch. Nice to have to possibly make into a screened in porch. :)
