Next I'm going to build a house for the new couple using Plumbella's randomizer. Here's what I got. Wish me luck.

I love the houses in your story!!  I didn't even notice the one house did not have a bathroom until you mentioned something. I took another peek and yep no bathroom. I see a spot between the main bedroom and kitchen that could be used for a small bathroom.

Good idea! I could move the seating area closer to the door and fit a bathroom back in that corner.

I finished Jack and Daisy's house using the Plumbella challenge, but there was no way I was going to be able to create something that looks Art Deco from a bird's eye view, so I didn't do that part. The after I "finished" it, I realized I really wanted a back door, so Jack and Daisy paid for the door and back steps. Here's what I came up with. This house was supposed to be two levels with only 3 rooms total in the house. I don't know if the last picture, the study, would count as a separate room. I used arches instead of doors, but it might still be considered a fourth room. I could take down the wall and arches and put in an area rug, which would also define the area but ensure it isn't really it's own room. Also I could put that section on a platform with half walls. What do you think? Also, should I count the closet as a separate room the way it stands? I don't think I put in a picture, but it's got the same walls and arches as the study.

I often use post/beam to separate a space. Would that work? I got the beams from TSR. There are several different lengths and they are recolorable. I just looked for them but TSR seems to have updated their site and I can't see well enough to know if I'd be linking to the correct one. Just search for "Ceiling Beams".

Good idea! I know Sims 4 has something like that. I wish it were available in Sims 3. Definitely something to look into.
