That looks pretty big for a tiny house build. lol But I do like the closed in porch in back and the roomier porch in front. :)

Hmm.. looking at mine, compared to yours... I like yours better. Bigger kitchen and livingroom too.

I kind of thought so too but I followed the floor plan for that house, but! I went back and looked at the plan again and it's only 800 sq ft. Mine is definitely bigger than that. I'm going to finish the kitchen according to ythe layout on the floor plan to see how out of scale I am.
I just came in from my 3km walk and I need some lunch and a bit of a rest before I tackle it.

Just by the looks of it, your kitchen is way bigger. However, looking at the floor plan you shared, you could try an L shaped kitchen on the bathroom side (left side) of the house and a table and chairs some where between the back door and the windows on the right side of the kitchen area.

Here's my unfurnished build with a little bit of landscaping in the front. :)

Using the floor plan and the video for the house, I placed some kitchen cabinets and I definitely went much bigger than what it should be so now I'm going to downsize and start
 over.

Update: I started with a furnished kitchen according to the floorplan, I am now better able to judge the scale and can work from there. But first a nap and then dinner. :D

Did you keep your original build? Was hoping you'd share that one with me?

I'm sorry. I deleted all the saves. I'll share the new one with you and you can easily expand it.
I was going to say I could recreate it from the screenshot but I shot it without the grid so I don't knw offhand how bit it was. I'll look at it tomorrow and see if I can figure it out somehow.

I found one of my original screenshots that thas the gridlines on it so it should be easy enough to recreate.

I just looked at the video for this house and I realize the only eating area is the counter bar. That would be a game changer for me if I were buying that house.  I think I'm going to make a small adaptation and include a dining area. I'm not sure how that house is only 800 sq ft. My condo apt is just over 800 sq feet and there's not nearly as much space as what's shown on the floorplan.

I am happy to hear you were able to find some screenshots of your original house that shows the gridlines. Between the 2 of us we should be able to recreate the house with them. :)

Yeah, there isn't any room for a dining area or dining table for that matter in the original house. But that's to be expected? in a house that small?  ??

I actually didn't mean to make room for a dining room table, but with how I did the floor plan, I was able to add a dining room table.

Here's what I have for the living room. Not real sure what more to do with the living room other than add a bookshelf. I don't necessarily want to put more near the fireplace. Things close to the fireplace tend to catch fire.

I'm considering taking the fireplace out if I furnish it for me to play with. Love it's look, but makes me uneasy.

I look forward to seeing what you do with the floor plan. :)

I am trying to work on my Tiny house but I'm driving myself crazy getting bogged down in the details, as usual. It's partly because I can't see properly but also because I've designed and built real houses, I know how things are supposed to fit together but because of the game constraints, I can't always make things work the way I think they should and I get frustrated.
The roof is proving to be my biggest challenge because I can't the the porch roof bits to properly tie in with the main roof withough the overhang showing. I managed it with the first build which ended up being too big but I've been agonizing over it for days now and it's defeating me. I wish I knew what I did the first time around I guess I'm just going to have to live with it the way it is but my OCD is not happy about it.  :D

Done! Not yet furnished but it's definitely smaller than the previous one. The only CC I used, as far as I can remember, are the big screens from Bau5 for the screened porch. There isn't an in-game equivalent.

Made some changes andd switched out the screenshots. I didn't l ike the huge expanse of roof so I added a dormer then added some shutters. I can't seem to leave well enough alone. :D
