I've created a post on making a batch file to help delete the game's cache files.

Clean Sims.bat File - A Batch File to Help Delete Cache Files

I'm hoping my explanation isn't too complicated and is at least somewhat easy to follow.

When I first heard about using a batch file (back in 2012) I tried it. I couldn't get it to work and gave up on it. Went back to manually cleaning up the files. I came back around to the idea of trying to make a new one to see how it works and if it works well for me.  I am happy to report, I'm able to to get the file that I share to work well for me and wanted to share just in case anyone wanted to the file as well. :)

Is deleting those five files manually really that bothersome? ::) I don't personally mind it, plus, I get to delete error trap files as well. I really dislike having those in my folder...they stick out with their long names and...error messages. *has nervous ticks* Yes, I'm slightly neurotic when it comes to things that are out of place ;D

As for playing with pets - yes, if you set the adoption of pets to false in NRaas Overwatch, unplayed households will no longer adopt pets. And I use NRaas Register as well to remove strays and wild animals.

No they aren't. After using the batch file for a little while I ended up finding it just as easy to delete those files and Nraas error files manually. I'm more used to and comfortable with cleaning out my Sims 3 folder manually.

My hubby too created a .bat file for me for the exact same purpose. He is a software engineer, computer savvy, and a programming nerd :)

Creating batch files are somewhat complicated if you're not quite sure what you're doing. That's why I hesitated at first with sharing it.

My hubby too though he never created any batch files for  me. :D

Thank you. I'll save my tea and cookies for a snack a bit later this afternoon. I had breakfast very early this morning so now I need to have a real lunch instead of just my usual snack.

I decided to check in on RV since I added Showtime. I was delighted to get a notice that there were several entertainment venues available so I placed a couple of them to check them out. I placed a karaoke bar across from where I have my festival grounds. There is discovered a bunch of people standing in line (not sure what for) and a bunch of objects on the grounds that I didn't place. Is that a result of showtime?

Of course, now I'm considering the World of Wonder venue.  ;D

The mechanical bull is one of my favorite activity objects from Showtime along with the PlasmaPunch Gyroscopic Conductor (misc electronic objects).

I don't know why people would be in line other than if they were waiting for the venue to open.

I have the World of Wonder venue as well. It requires a 50x50 lot if I remember correctly. I usually place it on Sunset Valley's one available big lot.
