Reading this, I became inspired to turn Twinbrook's Red Rendezvous (hangout) into a tavern - after enabling World Adventures, of course. Also, this neighborhood doesn't reserve lots for venues because most new ones came with later expansion packs. But the consignment store can also house an elixir store register -  if you, like me, don't really want venues from other packs to "disturb" the town's original layout ::)

I feel certain supernaturals would be at home in Twinbrook. Just not the Victorian-themed ones of MF.

I'm interested in learning more about consignment store housing an elixir register. Though I'm not sure we can get the elixir register unless enabling Supernatural?

I am worried what enabling an expansion pack might do to my current game. Ack!! That sounds so silly of me. Other than a few hiccups the game plays really smoothly and I'm near my 35th case with Melani.

The elixir consignment store register works just fine and as it should when placed in an ordinary consignment store, but you do need the SN expansion pack enabled/installed for it to be available and sell all the pack-related items.

I would be careful adding something new to your save as well, especially with so few cases left. But I can also tell you that when I have enabled more packs, it has not impacted the Investigator career at all, but I did fear it would. You can give it a try and make it a different save just to be safe.

I had a feeling Supernatural needed to be enabled. Like you mentioned I don't want to do that with only a few cases left in this save.

I think I want to try playing in Appaloosa Plains first, before adding more expansions. If it starts being a pain I might scrap it and add everything back in and try a new save in Twinbrook.

Date Calls?! Darn it!! I knew they were patched in with one of the patches. Can't remember which one.

I now have Pets enabled. Wasn't getting them before with just Base game and Ambitions installed. I'm assuming the date calls got patched in somewhere between Ambitions and Pets.

I'm not sure how to stop them when only a few expansions are enabled.

Hopefully you don't mind me replying here instead of the PI thread.

I like the idea of Alvi's in Hidden Springs, making a big Alvi Clan. :)

Not sure if I'm up for playing a rabbithole career. Last time I did that I had fun, but promised myself not to do that again.

I played the Criminal Career and some buggy-ish stuff was happening with that career that sounds like it might happen with other rabbithole careers too. Like extra days off when you're near getting a promotion. So you have to wait those extra days before getting said promotion.

I was finding myself wanting to get a part time job. lol  I picked up gardening of course. :)

I'm not sure what playthrough to do next.

For some days, I have been wanting to play my Alvis in Hidden Spring with just Late Night enabled, since HS apparently has been tuned for that expansion pack. I would like to play VJ as a Star Quality (that is a LN personality trait) vampire who has the LTW, 'Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous'. And poor Miraj has still not become an International Super Spy, so I would make him achieve that.

Maybe I can whip up some scandalous drama involving VJ...I kinda feel like it. Maybe I won't play them as spouses this time, but just as brothers, and have them make babies around town ;D

Hi! Sorry to have been away so long. It's been a crazy week. I've not even  touched the sims in several days!

Anyway, I'm wondering about that bug you encountered in the criminal career? Did your sim get promoted after midnight and then have the next day off? If that happens, you have to take your sim to work on his/her day off or they'll lose performance progress real fast. I'm not sure how long though. I think the criminal career is the only one that has a major bug like that. I like the RH jobs b/c I can forget about my sim for a little bit and do other things. Sorry if that isn't what happened. This is the only actual bug that I know in that career.

I did try a few different times in the career to work on days off and it just wouldn't let me. That's one of the reasons I was like having a part time job would have been cool. As I seem to remember there would be like a good 3 or 4 days off in a row that I'd have to wait before work would begin again and might get a promotion some where in there.

It was odd. I don't know if it was a true bug or just how it worked.

The promotion after midnight in the criminal career is a real bug. I'll have to try that one again to see if they ever fixed it.
