Thank you for the how-to notes!! I was just finishing mine up when I saw yours. lol.  I like yours better, but did add a before and after photo to show the bloom effect on and off. Hope that's okay? :)

I was pleasantly surprised at how well that worked!!  Took the before/after photos without the light mod. To help tell the difference better.

What an awesome tip!!

Thank you, both. I honestly can't say I've even noticed that. I'll have e to pay a bit more intention.

I just wanted to say that it wasn't my intention to be critical of anyone's playing style. If there's any criticism to be had it's to be my style of play and my own frustration with the game's limitations because I can't make it work the way I want it to work. Strictly my own issues. :::stomping off like a spoiled 4 y/o having a tantrum because she can't get her way....  :P

And to further clarify, it's only because I'm probably more interested in building than I am with actually playing the game so that's my issue.

Today I'm actually playing the game instead of building. You'll recall, MrsFlynn, my Ashley (big green house) and her architect boyfriend. I moved them in together in Riverview and had to start their relationship all over again. They're getting there but it's slow work and I'm not used to playing a multi-person household.
There was another oops in that Ashley dropped down a level and is back to being Vice-President so I have to get her back up to being Leader of the Free World. I need her to get there before she can retire and stay home to garden and raise babies. So far their relationship has only progressed as far as going steady and making out on the sofa and they are maintaining separate bedrooms. :D

My interest is split between playing and building.  Not sure if it's a 50/50 spit though. I think I like building just a bit more than playing.

I don't do well with a multi-person household either. I mostly focus on one Sim and let the secondary Sim do whatever unless I have a specific task for them to do or I need them to help with something, like gardening.

There is a way to "cheat-up" their relationship with testingcheatsenabled on. Mouse over their relationship bar while pressing the Ctrl Key. I'll check that in a moment. :)

I'm aware of the cheat but I'm not quite ready for them to make the commitment yet. I want her to be able to quit her job before they take it to the next level. :)

Gosh, now I feel all alone in not being a builder, but a player almost exclusively ;D

The story of my play unfolds in my head as I go along. There is very little planning, as I like to see what the game throws at me and where my own whims take things. The Sims in my play are all very fleshed out and "alive" in my head as well - much more than what the game and screenshots can ever reflect. I'm just not a very good storyteller to an audience plus my RSI prevents me from typing a whole lot. I'm sort of a private person and my sometimes unconventional way of thinking and playing is not for everyone.

Thanks, MrsFlynn, for adding the piccies and simplifying my link. I have played without bloom for many months now. My eyes really don't like these eye adaption things such as bloom effects. I am currently trying out a mod which affects the indoor lighting called Simsi45 Reworked and Improved EA Lights. I haven't formed an opinion yet, but you can find it over at Mod The Sims if you want to try it out for yourselves.

And no offense taken here either, LaPaige :)

Bonehilda just called Miraj and asked him on a date...

Didn't know she carried a phone around.
