Oh yep.

Store stuff will take just as long to download if you have any. Back it up on a usb key or an external hard drive. You'll thank me later. lol

Having the store files backed up and easily accessible has been a lifesaver for me. :)

Yes, I certainly plan on backing up what I have downloaded already and most of what I've built. I'm half way though downloading the base game.

Taking a tea break....

I had some downtime and decided to get back into the game (Reno is almost done) so I loaded up a brand new setup on my new computer. I started fresh in SV with a new Sim, using the default one that came up because she was kind of cute. I played for an hour or so last night but I just can't seem to get invested in her like I have the others in my old game. I have 6 sims going in that one and they've all reached their LTW and have gone on to other careers. In my old game I had tons of CC and in the new game I'm just using what's available. Mind you, my gal hasn't made any money yet in order to buy anything new. I don't like her house at all so now I'm thinking I need to just dump this game and start all over again. But I keep thinking I need to do stuff to get my real life in order instead of playing games. Such a dilemma. :D

I like the idea of starting over, specially if you're not really into the Sim and their house that you're currently playing.

You may have some real life stuff that needs to get done, so maybe do some of the things on your to do list. And then play some. It's okay to take breaks every now and again. :)

I've been hanging pictures, rearranging drawers, and fixing up my patio. I've run out of steam so I think after some lunch I will work on my game for the rest of the day. I'm liking the way the game is playing on my new computer but I don't know if it's that, or the fact that I don't have any "clutter" yet. :D

I have a very sore toe (gout) and I've been on it too much in the last couple of days. It's really sore.

Good idea to treat yourself to an afternoon of playing Sims 3. :)

It could be a little of both the new computer and no "clutter". lol I notice that the game has been loading and playing more smoothly since I've been playing with less packs enabled, CC and store content installed.

I treated my sister to lunch at a local restaurant today for her birthday. I have a vestibular disorder that affects my balance and my vision in my right eye and I have a very sore foot (gout) so when I am walking any distance I use a cane. So today, just as I was approaching the table, I either caught my cane on something, or my toe on a chair leg, but down I went taking a chair with me and landing hard on my left knee. So now my right foot hurts and so does my left knee. The wait staff helped me up and brought me a bag of ice for my knee and asked if I needed an ambulance.
After a nice lunch (blackened chicken alfredo and a pint of Guinness), my sister decided she had to walk me home because she didn't trust me not to fall again. Sheesh.
Getting old is the pits. This is the 3rd time I've fallen in a month.
First time I went backwards over my painter's dog. Second time I was sound asleep when a very loud "bang-bang-bang" woke me out of a sound sleep. I hit the floor running (still asleep, I'm sure) and tripped and went down on my knee and elbow. I had no clue what made the noise until the next day when I discovered the head of my shower brush had fallen off the handle and into the tub where it obviously bounced a couple of time.

I think I need to stay home, at least until my foot is better. :(

I would start to migrate my sims over except that I have a virtual staff meeting in 40 mins. :::sigh:::

Lunch out is nice, but all the falling down doesn't. It might be a good idea to stay home til your foot gets better. :(

Hmm.. More time to organize things and play Simmies? :)
