Lapaige - An idea came to mind that the deleting of the CC/Store content might be due to your antivirus software?

Not sure if you've tried testing that, but here's the steps if you need them.

  -- Using a new Sims 3 folder.
Rename your current Sims 3 folder, so game can create new one when game is launched.

1. Disable the the antivirus software.
2. Install Riverview
3. Play Sims 3 in that open and close it a few times to see what stays installed.

If RV stays installed then it maybe that you need to white list Sims 3 on your antivirus software. You may need to Google how to do that.

That didn't occur to me. I'll check it out tomorrow. I'm on my way to bed now. I have a doc appt at 7:30. That's just inhuman. :(

The idea popped in my head a little earlier today.  I am really curious to know if it works for you. If it does we can recommended it to others. :)

Yeah, 7:30am it a way-bit too early for a Drs appointment.

I don't know if I'm up to experimenting today. My appointment was for 7:30 so of course I've been awake since 3:30. I've been home since 9 and I've been trying to nap but it's not working at the moment. I'll try again later. I'm supposed to be going out for dinner so my fear now is that I'll fall asleep this afternoon and be late for dinner. :D Tough world.

I completely understand. I got some notes on my current save and some photos. That's all I really feel like doing at the moment.

Hope you get to take a little nap soon so you'll have then energy for dinner out. :)

Yeah, maybe. But don't be too hard on yourself for doing so.  I've done that and it makes me feel worse.

Some days, things just don't go by the book. That's fine, we are only humans. We have to leave some room for those kind of days.

Today, I have been trying to build some things again - by looking at floor plans of real houses. Ended up bulldozing everything in the end. I will never get satisfied ::)

And it's difficult! Why can't real houses be built on a grid of squares?

I use floorplans as inspirational pieces and go with what room sizes I like.

For example bedrooms are usually 5x6. This leaves room enough for bed, end tables and desk/chair and maybe a crib, depending on where the doors are place.

For the kitchen it depends on if it's an eat in or separate diningroom. For example in my current house with eat in dining it's 5x10.

Livingroom size varies Sometimes I like them to be big 8x8, but sometimes I like them to be smaller 6x6. Or a combo between the two.

Bathrooms vary in size as well. Normally I make them 3x4, but lately I have been making some 3x3.

Something that maybe helpful is to try using the blueprints maker tool. It can be found in Build Mode It's the icon to the right of the grid or below the hammer.

That's what I do. You'll drive yourself mad trying to follow an actual floorplan.
