I almost took out the bedroom behind the livingroom and made that the kitchen/dining area, but decided against that because I really like how the kitchen/dining area turned out.

Yep, directly behind the steps you see in the photo of the 1st floor is the basement stairs.

I am still doing my own gardening challenge of sorts and will be re-starting my nectar challenge now that I've got everything set back up.  I got distracted with house building and testing different custom content, so I was swaping things in and out. lol
