I went through the stickied threads in the Tea Room board to find that I haven't mentioned anything about joining our Tacky forum, so I figured I'd do so.

Our forum is by invitation only and this post explains why and how to join.

I enabled most of the packs last night. Got most of the mods setup. Still need to setup Retuner settings. Of course playing in Sunset Valley.

Feeling like I'm having to re-learn some of the things I used to know by heart. *Blush*

I'm trying to create the Ciotti family. Got mom and dad together, but only just now created the teen daughter and trying to figure out if I can adopt her or what other options I have. Ideas?

I'm going out in a while so I don't know if I will get back to this tonight, but you never know.

Are you wanting to change the family relationship between parents and teen daughter?

If so you can do that with Nraas MasterController. You mention adoption. My experience with the adoption service is that you don't get to pick the actual sim toddler/child/teen.

Change/Fix Family Relationships - (Add/Remove Parent)
Click Active Sim > Nraas > Master Controller > Advanced > Family > Add Parent > Select Active Sim.
Click off of Sim and then back on to see the changes. (Active Sim should be Parent)

Note: All Sims you want in the family, need to be within the same save file.

I made the couple first and ended up doing the daughter separately (an afterthought), so now I want to bring her into the family. I tried the adoption thing and I discovered, as you said, you can only choose age or gender.

Before I shut down for the evening, I made her active and she went to "visit" her parents. There wasn't time to see if I could do anything because I ran out of time and I'm probably too tired tonight to try but if it doesn't work, it's no problem because it's on a separate save.

I'll try your method tomorrow.

If you want to use the default game mechanics to make them a family, take them all into CAS and make them a family that way.

This can be done using testingcheats.

1. Press Shift-Ctrl-C together ; Type in testingcheatsenabled on
2. Shift-click on Sim you want to take into CAS and select Edit Sim in Create a Sim.
3. Click on the 3 little dots under their icon to save them to the SimBin.
4. Once you've got all your Sims saved to the Simbin, go to Edit Town and click on Create a Household.
5. Click on the Pre-made Sims Button (button with 6 Sims on it) Select your Sims one at a time.
6. Click Add a Sim or Pet (silhouette of Sim and dog) Select Create a Sim. Click the Pre-made Sim button again to pick your next Sim.
7. Once finished putting together the family, click the checkmark button.
8. Click the Edit Relationship button to create the relationship links.

I tried your instructions but the only options  that show up in Advanced are Edit in CAS, Force Kill, Reset sim. Don't want to do any of those. And thank you.

Yeah, I had a hard time editing the relationship last night with the Sim family I was playing. It took a couple of tries before I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. lol

But that path does work.
