I'm about ready to quit. I was restarting the game by renaming, backing it up, starting a new game but when I went to restore the old game, all the save folders were empty. Every last one of them. I feel so completely stupid because I haven't backed up for at least a week and I've done so much work in that time. My brain is just not functioning properly these days.

My Moore house and family are gone as well as my Ciotti famly/house and several new houses I built. I was in  love with my Ciotti teenager because she was so darned cute! :(

I think I need to go and do my grocery shopping and clear my head of this for a bit.

I am not entirely sure if this will help, but try searching your computer for your Sims 3 folder?

Click the Start button > and type in Sims 3 to see where the search takes you to see if you can find any of your files that way?

Question, how are you backing the Sims 3 folder up? Do you for example, cut/paste folder to desktop or do you copy/paste folder to desktop.

What I've been doing lately is copy/paste folder to desktop for temporary and then copy/paste it to my usb key. Check that it's there, and check again lol to be fully sure all is there.

I'm really going for broke today. I responded to your post but obviously didn't post it and it disappeared. Our fire alarm went off (false) so I just shut down quickly and off I went. Then I decided to go shopping and just got home.
In the meantime, I've had One Drive downloading files and most of them are sim related. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with them.

Searching for a folder didn't yield anything. I copy/paste to my desktop and also to a separate storage.

Harsh lesson learned. Only download one thing at a time and check to make sure nothing went missing and back up every single day.

And I discovered that the date of the back-up is not necessarily the the date you think it is. In my case it shows the date that the file was moved from one storage to another.

The OneDrive downloading are going to mean anything because I think I had it turned off a while ago because I thought it might be causing issues.

One Drive can cause issues with Sims 3 as well as other programs. It will move files and make it look like you're missing files.

It's best to keep it turned off or uninstalled so it doesn't mess with your files and folders. We uninstalled OneDrive for that reason.

I backup my files either before or after each gameplay session.

Let me know what Sim files you have and I might be able to help tell you where they go. :)

I found what I hope is a more recent d/l but I have to d/l Riverview again to see if it will work. At least some of my builds are on your site.

Yay for trying the poster mod Nindigo!!

Marigolds Painting

I downloaded it and will be adding it to see what it looks like in-game.

Right now I'm going through some of my older saves to find which I can delete and which to save. More so looking to save some of my furnished/played houses. :)

I was playing the fairy, Marigold Maldano, in Moonlight Falls earlier today (it's dinner time here now) which inspired me to look at marigolds on Google.

If I make more, they will probably also be more like paintings than actual posters. I kinda like that, I think.

That's cool!! I've actually wanted to take my favorite Sims 3 paintings and run them through the poster mod. That way no matter who I'm playing I have some of my favorite paintings. lol

Ooh, Nabiha painted the flying mallards in my game, so that one is on a wall in my Twinbrook. Thanks for the link :)
