I hear you about the news. I avoid it as much as possible. Kind of like an ostrich...keeping my head in the sand. It gives me anxiety. And rain!!! Rain, and more rain. It starts out surprisingly nice for about an hour in the morning, next thing you know, it's pouring.
I went out for dinner with a friend the other evening and he offered to pick me up but since the restaurant is only about a block away I was going to walk. But it was pouring. Of course it had stopped by the time he picked me up. We were sitting on the outside patio (heaters, closed in, and much quieter), and the sun actually came out. When I got home and turned my computer, Facebook was flooded with pictures of a glorious double rainbow. It would have been behind us so I wouldn't have seen it, but I got a picture of a very interesting sky. The sparkles are reflections of the light on the plastic enclosure and not on the trees. Literally like day and night.

The other day after a heavy rain, it had cleared up and the sun was shining on the trees which were literally twinkling with the sun shining on the raindrops. I tried to get a picture but I was looking directly into the sun so I didn't bother.
