Definitely not used to this. I'm in warm pjs and a hoodie with a hot water bottle and a couple of lap blankets.

It doesn't look like it's going to warm up near 40 til at least Saturday.  Looks like there's another chance of snow coming this Thurs. Not good with how cold it's been.

Happy New Year, everyone.
It's not quite as cold as his has been but we have lots of snow (for us) and more on the way.

Here's hoping that 2022 is better than the last 2 years have been.

Happy New Year!! :)

It's warming up somewhat down here as well, but still pretty chilly. I don't think we got as much snow, but it did stick around for awhile.

A happy new year to you guys. We are snowless again as usual here. Oh, well.

I was just thinking about my Alvi family in Twinbrook. I feel like checking in on them soon :)

Hugs, cookies, and tea for everyone <3

We are finally above freezing for the first time in about a week and because it's raining, the snow is starting to recede. We still have quite a bit.
The bottom pic is blurry because I zoomed in quite a bit and was a bit shaky. :D  There's a good 10-12 inches on that table.

The temps will go below freezing at night but at least I don't have to babysit my hummingbird feeder every two hours through the day. Silly little birds don't know enough to go south like their cousins.

Seldom do you see 2 together but I have one on the feeder and one on the edge of a planter. The little guy on the planter parked there for 3 days. It was very cold. I moved the feeder off it's hook in the planter because the wind blew it over so I put it on the table where it was more stable. I thought they might take refuge in that little box on the table but they weren't interested. One sat on top of it for a while but I think he was just guarding the feeder against intruders. They are feisty little things and will chase other birds away.

Time for tea and cookies. I'm still eating Christmas leftovers.

I can't remember when we were talking about gardening mods and the Sims crying over dead plants. I had been testing a faster gardening mod from Twotfmama (Twoftmama Faster Gardening v5)

In previous tests, I thought it *was* working as I didn't see my Sim crying over dead plants.

While playing today, I did catch my Sim crying over dead plants. Since I can't really tell if the gardening mod is working, I'm going to go back to the No More Crying Over Dead Plants that can be found at ModTheSims.

No More Crying Over Plants
-- Sims won't cry over dead plants.

I always assumed it just speeds up the picking produce, weeding, and watering process. I guess that no crying would speed things up too.

Got my third Covid-19 shot yesterday. For some reason, it is harder on me this time around. Was feverish last night and today as well, and my arm and lymph nodes (armpit ones) are really, really sore. Plus, my nose is rather stuffy.

Looking forward to the weekend and hubby being around all day long. *wallows a bit in self-pity*

I think the reason I didn't notice it in previous test games is because they didn't have a chance to die, I'd go into buy mode and delete them and plant new ones every couple of days. This time around I didn't do that.

Sounds like it's a great day for some hot tea and cookies, or hot chocolate and cookies. lol

Hope you get to feeling better soon!! <3

How about a hot rum toddy and cookies. I thought our snow was all gone but it's back with a vengeance along with freezing rain. Good thing I ran some errands yesterday.
Hope you feel better soon, Nindigo.
