My husband was a sports fan so I was not aware that our tv played anything but sports until he died. (being facetious).I mostly watch the Super Bowl for the entertainment and this year I wasn't interested in any of the half-time entertainers. We don't even get the US commercials so I usually wait until the show up on Facebook at some point.
And with the Olympics on, there's not much on tv. I stopped watching the Olympics when it became so political.

I always find it sad to discover that someone I had developed sympathy for and supported turns out to be a fanatic on a subject and to be unreceptive to both scientific fact and common sense. I see no other alternative than to walk away and learn from it.

Whew. I was mostly being facetious but a little bit of me wasn't. :D  If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, I agree.

It is a YouTuber I have been following for some time. I don't think it is someone you guys know. Oh, well...time to move on, right?

Anyway, we had our friend stay overnight and as always, when being forced to be social, I am completely smashed afterwards - lol. I should have been to the hairdresser today, but I had to nap instead while my husband went for his haircut. Also, after I woke up, we had an appointment with the vet, because our elderly small dog has an irritated eye again. Scar tissue from an old surgery keeps forming on her lower eyelid and pokes into her eye. Poor thing. On Monday, she will get it removed and get her teeth done as well. Hope it goes well.

I hear you about being social. My mother always claimed that she was sociable, just not social. I'm a bit like that but I do social on Mondays (cribbage night) and Fridays (happy hour).

You hair isn't going anywhere so next time. I hope your pupper does well at the vet.

Just so you know, I understood what you mean by being "smashed", but we use it differently on this side of the world. Being smashed means an overindulgence of adult beverages. :D I'm assuming that's not what you meant.

That was certainly not what I meant, lol. Oops. But now that you mention it, I do remember that is how the word is used. What I meant was that I am exhausted, of course. Haven't been smashed in ages, thank God. At least you seem to understand me most of the time ;)

It's all in the context. :D

One of my neighbors is a non-drinker. He comes down to happy hour on Friday evenings and calls us drunks. I told him "Hardly. I have one bottle of wine per week." I might have a cocktail or a beer or 2 during the week but not very often. We, as a group, go out for dinner once a month and if I'm not driving, I'll have either a large glass of wine or 2 smaller ones.
But on Friday nights, most of us bring one glass of whatever adult beverage we're enjoying. One guy will go back upstairs for a refill once in a while.

The the funniest thing is my neighbor from down the hall. She's in her mid 80's, walks with a walker and is legally blind (and an absolute dear). Sometimes she can't tell if she has a bottle of wine or a bottle of rum. If she's not sure, she'll lift up the seat of her walker and pull out a container of ice and a can of Coke just in case it's rum. I seem to be her designated bartender since I usually sit next to her.

Tonight is cribbage night so I'll just be taking water. I have two stainless steel bottles, one white, and one blue. I tell people that if the bottle is white, it's water. If it's blue, it's not. :D

One of the reasons I like to play with Seasons. The Spring Festival. I got all the eggs and put them up on a wall display.
