I agree. I feel like I've abandoned it but it's only for the time being.

We've talked about rabbithole rugs before and making our own rabbitholes. At the time I was like why, just use the ones that come with the town you're playing in. I feel terrible for thinking that way!!

While I was play testing someone's world file they made in CAW they had placed a few or more player-made community lots, like the police station. I absolutely -loved- playing with that. They also had a hospital, restaurant, ice cream shop and other cutesy community lots.

It's actually made me consider maybe trying to use the rabbithole rugs to make my own police station and other community lots.

Though I don't know how well they'd work with some of the careers like the Private Investigator career. Specially if trying to use a player-made stadium or science lab.

I've been wanting to do a small strip mall and in fact, even had one started. I made a toy store first using objects from the Golden Ticket Toy Shop. It must have disappeared in one of my crashes and I never got back to it. I kind of forgot.
But rabbitholes are non-interactive, right? I was planning on stocking the store and using the savvier seller rugs/shelves so sims could make purchases.

How did that person's police station/ice cream shop work with the rabbithole rugs?

Rabbithole buildings are non-interactive, yes. You can use rabbithole rugs to make them somewhat interactive.

Not sure how to exactly explain that. lol

The police station building had the police rabbithole rug in it. Basically it gives the options you would get from the regular police station, say in Sunset Valley. It also had some desks with computers, a meeting room, some "jail cells" - fence placed around some beds. Some restrooms a kitchen and a work out room.

The ice cream shop building was tables and some booth thingies from Seasons. I can't remember if it had some store items in it or not.

I'm having a Sims 4 bout now instead of hunting ::)

I'm playing around with food mods again.

I've looked at 4 a few times, mostly for the building aspect, but other than that, I have no real interest in it. My grandson was here yesterday and I was showing him a few things that got me somewhat inspired again.
I still have that southern mansion to furnish and I think I'm going to do it all in Cashcraft's stuff.
But my draw at the moment is my cross-stitch. Still not much showing except background. Problem is that now that we're getting more sun, I can't work on it at my desk because the sun shines right in on it and it's blinding but there's not enough light in the rest of the place. Such problems!! LOL.

Nindigo, you can share stories/photos in your Table thread if you'd like. Just because I don't really play Sims 4, doesn't mean I don't love hearing about what's going on in your game. :)

Lapaige, Is there a way that you can move the desk to a less sunnier spot?  I've done that with my desk, so it gets less sun. It's easier to work on projects that way. lol

The room is actually a small den 10x7. There's a twin bed, a large armoire (for storage) and my large desk (for sewing and jig-saw puzzles). It's a bit like a Chinese puzzle and everything fits just so. Two weeks ago I was about to start moving things out of there so I could rearrange it. Thank goodness I got the tape measure out before I started or I'd have been really ticked off to have to put it all back the way it was because it wasn't going to fit otherwise.

Once the sun gets higher in the sky, it won't be an issue.

Ah okay, I'm familiar with that too. Small room and things fit just so and trying to move them wouldn't work.
