Have you ever seen this before? I decided to finish up some of my lots that I never completed and came across these small black balls on this property. It seems there is a cat which has taken up residence so it's probably related somehow, but they are not cat toys.
I researched them and it seems they are a bug and no one really knows how to keep them from respawning.
I can remove them in build mode and they're labeled "small pet generic idle jig".

There's a way to delete jigs like that I just can't remember at the moment how.  You can maybe try deleting them using Ctrl-Shift keys pressed together while having mouse over the item and select Delete it.

I did that already. Someone on a forum said they come back so we'll see. I've shut the game down a couple of times since I deleted them and I don't see them again right now.

Looks like Overwatch or ErrorTrap is suppose to be handling these jigs?

If those jigs are throwing any errortrap error reports found in: \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3

You can share them over at Nraas (https://www.nraas.net/community/errortrap-discussion).  They'll be able to help read the reports and tell you why it's throwing the errors.

I saw that earlier. I hadn't been to that lot for a few months so maybe they spawned over time. I'll check out some other lots I haven't been to for a while. In this case, the sim who lives there had a horse but no cat. Now she has a cat but no horse. After I built her a ranch so she could have a horse...

My finger pains are finally improving. Now it's mostly just my right hip that is being a real pain the butt. Quite literally.

Right now, I just felt a sudden inspiration to see if I can get my old Appaloosa Plains save up and running again...

So, I'll be messing around with that
