Here are my notes on the Junkyard mod - (Still a work-in-progress)
Bayless Memorial Junkyard, placed on a hill in Sunset Valley lol

I had to share a photo of my favorite junkyard.

It actually doesn't look half bad when you're looking at it from map view. Had to soften the terrain at the entrance so Sims could get into the lot.

Anyway, onto the notes....
Salvaged Junkyard Objects Made Usable
https://modthesims.info/d/522749/This mod can be used by Origin 1.69 players. -- The mod is not broken, just fussy about what can be repaired or not.
Not all items can be repaired, specifically only items that can be broken and repaired in the first place like some of the electronics and specially with this mod, stoves can be repaired. All other items (sofas, bookcases, exercise machines, dryers etc) don't have a repair option in the first place sadly.
It seems iffy as to what electronic objects are repairable.
Charred/scratched items are still usable, but will have to pay to replace. These items can't be repaired and are worthless.
The repairable items will still have zero worth, even after being fixed.
With the oven, you might only get Fix Gas Leak, instead of Repair. You don't get the option of Replace. And they may always look burnt.
Crib does not give a Replace option. Look in the toy box for toys and bookshelves for books. While the toys and books may not be worth anything, they can still be used.
On rare occasion you may find objects you've kept either in your home or family inventory do have value to them, regardless if they've been repaired or scratched. Not sure if this is a bug or not.
Items that are dug out of the dumpsters go into the family inventory and can be sold. These items don't need to be fixed.
All you get out of the junk piles are pile of scraps (that get placed in Sim's personal inventory), good to use with the Scraptronic Workbench.
Items can spawn in starting at 5am and spawn in throughout the day. They get added mostly to the family inventory. Only a few objects spawn in a Sim-day, mostly furniture. On rare occasion, you'll get some kind of electronic object.

I'm curious to find what is repairable and what isn't, so I am making notes of that too.
Repairable: Tvs, Trash Compactor, Dishwasher, Stereo, Oven, Fortune Cookie Maker,
Not Repairable: Furniture (couches, chairs, tables, etc.) ; BBQ, Washer/Dryer, Boombox
