Hi,
I'm new to the group. You can call me Cheeseweasel. I became interested in the Sims 3 when I bought it for my kids. They were about 7 and 12 years old. They are now 21 and 25.
The first vivid memory I have of the game was when my 7 year old built a house for his sim. It didn't occur to him that he would need a bathroom. I was fascinated when the sim went to the kitchen and got himself some ice cream, sat on the one couch provided, and ate while watching TV. The next thing we know he has to pee, and pees in front of the TV. The TV then breaks down, and my son has his sim try to fix it. He hadn't saved the game, the sim was electrocuted. Game over. My son was so upset!
It turned out I liked the game more than my kids did, so when they went on to Kerbel Space Program and Animal Crossing and Roblox, I stuck with Sims 3. There have been years where I didn't play much and got bored with the game, even though I had a good share of the EPs, but it was mostly because the game would get to the point that it constantly crashed, and I got frustrated. Then I learned about mods and clearing caches, and other things to help the game run and add more options for FREE! Now I'm hooked again.
