Taking the quote below from the Daycare thread and replying here in the Sipping Tea thread. Trying to keep the daycare thread about the daycare worker and what goes on during their day a work.
You are correct, when you're playing say your architect family they won't need daycare as such. They may need a baby-sitter if an active family member isn't with them, but you won't be able to send them off to daycare to be cared for by Debbie.
It's my understanding the game doesn't work that way by default. There maybe mods to help with that, but I am unaware any. That's something you may want to ask about over at Nraas.
My experiment didn't pan out as I'd hoped. I was hoping that Cassie, my new toddler would be brought to the daycare but she wasn't and I think I might know what. Her daddy is in the architect career and I have to send him out to do jobs or else he stays home which would mean if he wasn't the active sim with a job to do, there would be no need for daycare. I'll have to rethink this...or not.
