I tried to start one a while ago and was running into the same thing as you, Nindigo. I eventually figured it out but its been a while and now I can't remember what I did. Sorry.

I'm using Blogger.com, which is a Google App. The permalink identifies it a blogspot.com, which I think was the old name for it. This video is supposed to walk you through how to get started. It looks like there's a button on the home page of the website you have to click to get started. Have you done that?
