Let me know how that works out for you. With the issue happening with the adopted kids, I'm wondering if it's some kind of game mechanic that we as players have no control over.

Still I am very curious as to what happens when you play the save in a new folder.

Mrs Flynn, I did not save the eye or hair color. Yes, my adopted kids are getting them. I'll try the new folder method. I actually have very few user presets.

What is the code for installed worlds? I tried just transferring them over, but they're not there to be able to play, but when I try to install them, it says that they're already installed. I need to find the files and remove them in re-install them.

Nvm, I just made another new folder and this time installed the worlds first! Next, I'm installing all of the s3pack files, then it'll just be a matter copying over files.

It sounds like you got it? Just in case I'll post the idea I'm talking about:

Rename your current Sims 3 folder to something Sims3-Old

Let the game create a new Sims 3 folder. Depending on the version you have:

Disc: Click on the Sim 3 launcher let it load and then close it.

Origin: Open Origin and double-click the Sims 3 and then quit at main menu.

Copy your save from your old folder to your new folder

Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Saves

If your save uses a store world, for example Riverview, make sure you have it installed before loading your save file.

Yeah, I found that out on the last one. : /  Unfortunately, I seem to have lost some of my cc and have to re-install it.

Depending on how you store your CC, it shouldn't be lost. It's still installed in your old Sims 3 folder. However I would suggest to copy the CC from your backup folder or redownload it to your new Sims 3 folder.

The test really doesn't require the CC be installed. As the goal is to see if you get the yellow eyes when adopting Sim children.

I think I just moved everything so all of my s3pack files were lost. However, I  have a copy of ALL of my s3pack files on my desktop so not all is lost. :) I just finished restoring everything. Next time, I'll just copy and not move.

The reason why I didn't suggest you to copy or move any folders/files except your save file and store Sims3pack file is because if it's something in your old folder causing the issue, you don't want that in your new Sims 3 folder.

I am happy to hear you've got your Sims3packs backed up!! :)

How's the test going?

The test went fine, but I didn't do any play testing. Maybe I can in the near future. I went back to my old folder and after putting everything back, had the black screen. Looked it up and Crinrict said that it could be mods. I removed all of my mods and it loaded. I then put the mods back a couple at a time and they all back in now and the game loads. Maybe just too many new mods. The yellow eyes are really no big deal, I can just change them in CAS.

Good to hear the test went well and you're not too worried about the yellow eyes. :)
