I'll agree w/"Mysti!" Sims 4 is OK and especially if the emotions were blocked. It gets real old after a while "I need a vacation." Take them on a nice vacation and then they come from work the first day of work and "I need a vacation!" UGH! That and many other over the top emotions. I did enjoy the Get to Work part and the aliens in disguise and the different color aliens though.

I might be a little late to the discussion, but don't feel like a failure, Nindigo! I can't tell you how many times my game has broken. When I ran it on my mac EA support and I knew each other very well.

;D While it makes me feel better that I'm not alone in this, it is still kind of a sad thing to have in commen. Alas, we don't get to play a Sims game without problems. So it is all good in the end. I guess ::)

I just tried to purchase the gold version of Dragon Valley. Got a receipt and all, but the store page for Dragon Valley does not give me the option to download it - it is as thought I haven't bought it.

I tried logging out of the store and back, no change. I was dumb and thought it was me and re-purchased it. Now, according to the receipt, I have purchased it twice. Yet, the store page hasn't registered it.

I refuse to pay a third time. :-\

Definitely don't purchase it a 3rd time. If I understand it correctly, they don't offer refunds on store content.

You may want to try to contact EA Customer Service to see if they can check your account to see if there's anything that can be done about it.

Though I have read about this happening in the recent past with other players. Give me a little bit and I'll see what I can find via search.

Edited to Add:

My Google-Fu seems to be a little off today or something. I couldn't find anything really recent, like I thought I read about.

Anyway. A couple of troubleshooting tips came to mind:

1. With the Sims 3 launcher open and logged into your store account, go to the DV page directly from a different browser to see if you have the download button?
https://store.thesims3.com/dragonvalley.html?categoryId=12642

2. Check to see if DV is in your Downloads Dashboard?
https://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/forum/index.php?topic=16094.msg307126#msg307126

-- I have had luck with both these tips when I've had issues downloading store items.

Nevermind...I just had to redeem a code.

I'm so used to my purchases going through automatically that it didn't occur to me to check for that.

Cheers :)

Oh my goodness *Blush* I just checked the DV page to refresh my memory on what we had to do after purchasing the town.

I find having to redeem a code for the world trips a lot of players up. I don't think there was a lot of towns like that though?

It's been so long since we've purchased the store. I don't remember the experience of actually purchasing anymore.

Actually, I don't recall ever having to redeem a code for anything other than for the base game itself.

It was a nasty trip! I hope they enjoy my cash :-\

You know, you're right. If I recall correctly the only things that needed a code were a couple of towns - Hidden Springs and maybe Monte Vista... errm if you bought them via disc.

Remember when purchasing games via disc was a thing?! lol

I think if purchased straight from the Sims 3 Store or Origin they don't ? need to be redeemed with a code. I really don't remember.

In any case, I hope you enjoy Dragon Valley. It's a beautiful town with lots a beautiful townies and houses.
