#3 -- Red - Industrial/Minimal

Looked up some industrial style sites for this one. It seems to be a mix of rustic woods/brick and metal.

I went with that and put several "shipping containers" together. And tried to make it look industrial both inside and out.

I'm not the biggest fan of Red, but I think I did a pretty good job with this build. I furnished only the 1st floor.

Front:

Inside - floor 1:

Inside - floor 2:

The "metal" roof: (Wood flooring with metal pattern)

Back side of house:

I used wood paneling for the walls with a metal pattern on them. To get a ship container look. lol

I'm just finishing up mine. I didn't think of shipping containers.

Looks great!!

By the looks of her house, you could say she put a couple of shipping containers together to make both her house and studio. :)

Thanks for the cheat code, Mrs. Flynn. That was the one I was looking for. Love the red houses. The brick exterior and boxy shape look quite industrial to me. Love LaPaige's photographer's studio. I hadn't thought of that. My Annie is more of a travelogue or photojournalist. She has a gallery that features her work. Maybe if she gets tired of all the travel she can set up a photography studio and invite various households over to sit and pose for her pictures. I haven't used pose players, and it would be quite chaotic without them, but maybe if I put a small TV on the wall across from the seating and background I could get some of them to sit at least. It might be a fun experiment.

I thought about the travel thing but I didn't have enough "photos" downloaded but I had more backdrop stuff so I decided to go with a portrait studio. :D

I told MrsFlynn about Missyzim's upcoming FB challenge and said I'd let her  know more once we get the details. It could be a fun challenge for us here as well since MrsFlynn isn't on FB.

That would be cool for us to take it and make it our own.

You're welcome!!

I first thought of bricks and shipping containers when I saw/read the word industrial.

I like how your house is coming along. It looks like it could be created from shipping containers as well. lol

Ziggy has moved in.
While my vision didn't quite turn out the way I wanted (that's what you get at 3:00 a.m.), but some of it did. Ziggy is fishing from his back porch.

It was time to be done while I was still holding on to my sanity. I was having so much drag/lag/swing/bounce that I was getting seasick.
