When I've tried to test both Rogue Cop and Wayward Jalopy - via DebugEnabler. They both give me the message can't be fulfilled.

Though I remember getting Rogue Cop case once and getting stuck a trying to confirm presence.

Err...a case of missing mouthwash just cancelled itself on VJ's way to meet the client.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to stop here, MrsFlynn :(

Let me know if we should play a different profession together, I am game.

Oh my goodness, really?! Geeze. I'm sorry. That's just odd. As that one is a sure solvable one for me hands down. I'm sure you've gotten that one to solve before too.

I totally understand quitting!! We've both put in a good amount of testing. I'm getting quite disgusted myself. I pinned a want/wish to do 10 stakeouts and went to 3 different places to do them, and none of them counted. Grr!! I know I should be a little more patient, but it's like ugh!!

I think I read some where that the PI Career is easiest to play in Sunset Valley and/or Twinbrook. I think I agree. It doesn't help that I'm feeling the the game itself is being a little grumpy. But AP and I have never really gotten along all that well either. It's one of the reasons I hardly play in AP.

Hmm I like the idea of doing another playthrough. Do you have any suggestions?

Oh, you shouldn't apologize. I'm sure that if this profession had been made by you it would have been working perfectly ;)

I'm not sure what playthrough to do next.

For some days, I have been wanting to play my Alvis in Hidden Spring with just Late Night enabled, since HS apparently has been tuned for that expansion pack. I would like to play VJ as a Star Quality (that is a LN personality trait) vampire who has the LTW, 'Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous'. And poor Miraj has still not become an International Super Spy, so I would make him achieve that.

Maybe I can whip up some scandalous drama involving VJ...I kinda feel like it. Maybe I won't play them as spouses this time, but just as brothers, and have them make babies around town ;D

Nindigo and I have decided that we're done with our playthrough.  We're both coming up more and more bugs and glitches. It's getting frustrating and not fun.

Having said that, I did have fun playing the PI career and am thankful to have friends join in on the playthrough. It's definitely more fun playing Sims with friends. lol

It is definitely a career for great story telling. If you go into the career knowing that it is buggy - but that you can cancel a case if needed. You can either get a case by computer or phone. You should do okay. :)

I do have a couple-few photos to share. We did a PI career playthrough in 2019 in Riverview and this dog came up to my then PI Sim, Calista. I snapped this photo of her brushing the dog.

Fast Forward to this year, looking at that photo made me want that dog. I don't think I have the save file anymore. So I tried to re-create the dog. I think I did a fairly good job. I named the dog Oreo.

Dog from Calista's game -

And Oreo the dog from my current game -

I want to say Thank you to Nindigo for the idea to make a bulleted list of the case objectives. Doing that really helped me when trying to solve the cases.

I edited our official case list to reflect the bulleted objectives. You can find that here

Thank you, guys, for the quality time with friends <3

I couldn't agree more, MrsFlynn. This profession is quite okay for light gameplay and storytelling purposes. Not so great for completionists and perfectionists. I might even start it up again sometime, but without trying to fulfill the associated LTW. Playing as an Investigator is great if one would like to get to know a town's residents, as it really takes your Sim around.

Good Game while it was fun, and you are very welcome :)

I'm sorry that I wasn't able to help all that much. I guess RL just got in the way. : /  Sometimes by the end of the day, I'm just not in the mood for sims and do other things. I wonder if choosing a case by the DE (Nraas Debug Enabler) method may result in more cancelled cases. I'm not sure, but I would like to try this one in SV or Twinbrook just to see if it is as buggy.

I didn't use DebugEnabler for many cases. Maybe one and it was successful. I have noticed that DE doesn't have all the case listed either.

There are some cases while looking at them in DE that will give a message - something along the lines of Can't fulfill. I haven't been able to figure it out as to why specially with playing in Sunset Valley with nothing moved around or changed. Playing it like it was originally released with Ambitions added of course or you don't get the PI career. lol

I had a lot less issues with the PI career when playing in Sunset Valley. It was fun. There were a few player-oopsie moments too. But we won't talk about that. hehehe *Blush*

DE - Stands for DebugEnabler

Here is the path for the case list:

Click Active Sim > Nraas > DebugEnabler > Options: Cellphone > See long list of options > Click on Opportunities > Add Opportunity > Careers > Click on Case > Long Case List

See this post for PI Case List via DebugEnabler w/Photos.

You actually can't accept cases from DE specifically. Well you can and you can't. You have to specifically use the path that I mentioned to get to the case list and select it. Then accept it or not.

That option (Click on lot and get a case) isn't an option. I tried it. lol Was so hoping that would be an option like the other careers, but it's not.
