About the Forum

Membership is by Invitation Only. ~ See this post for more details.

-- See this post to learn why the forum.

Guests can view the forum, photos and download any files publicly available.

Regular members are free to create their own topics, share photos, download and upload attachments, as well as edit their account profile settings and delete their own account if desired.

To save on bandwidth, hard drive space, and site/forum resources we have added an image mod that members can use to add/insert images into their posts. The image mod uses imgbb .com as the image host. -- How to Add Images

✽ – A note about the image hosting:

Most of the photos shared on the forum aren't being hosted on our site/server. They are uploaded to an external image hosting site and linked from either imgbb .com or imgur.com.

The image hosting sites handle the load of the photos and doesn't affect our site/server that much if any.

We don't want to use an attachment mod which allows photos to be uploaded to our website. As it takes up a lot of site resources and hard drive space to store those photos.

This is also the reason for the file attachment limit (of 5 files per post).

It's highly recommended to use online storage site, as SimFileShare, Google Drive, OneDrive, Mediafire, etc. and link back to your files if you have a lot of files you want to share at a time.

A few of the boards are set to Read-Only.  The Forum Rules & FAQs and it's childboard  Member Information and the Sims 3 Library main board.  This is due to those boards being there for information.

However the Sims 3 Library's child board - StoryBrooke Corner is free for everyone to post stories and play-throughs on. 🥰

Please understand abandoned or failed stories that haven't been posted in 6 months will be removed, unless other arrangements have been made. This is to save on forum resources.

The Tea Room is our discussion board. Everyone is free to create their own topics on this board or use this thread (Sipping Tea) to introduce themselves, ask a question or post a thought. Share a game related tip here on the The Flea Circus ~ A thread for tips, tricks and ideas thread.

Our Media Room main board is set to Read-Only. However, it's childboards are setup for everyone to share/upload their Sims, Houses, Community Lots, Posters, Other Sims related files.

-- Please be aware these boards are public and anyone can download what files you share. The Media Room board was made for that purpose.

Please do not share Save files, unless you ask permission. Some Save files are too large to share here and will need to be shared via an online storage site such as SimFileShare, Google Drive, OneDrive, Mediafire, etc.

We also have the Sunroom. It's a private members only board. It's a place to share/chat without it being shared publicly.

✽ – Use of thumbnails on the forum.

Some members may choose to use thumbnails to help post photos in the forum. This helps the lag image heavy posts and threads can and do have.

Hosting a lot of photos per post and per thread can at times overwhelm the forum's resources such as the forum's display engine.

Forums to this day aren't really made to host a lot of photos. This is why it's encouraged to use an image hosting site to help lessen the resource drain that image heavy posts and threads have.

Please forgive me for being overly concerned about overwhelming the site/server and taking up lots of space. While we have an "unlimited" plan. We have always been of the mind set of don't push that limit. As they (the webhosting company) will either throttle the service some how, charge extra for overuse, or simply cut the service off without warning.

I personally don't feel comfortable accepting donations or asking for money to cover our site/domain costs. It goes against our core belief of doing this for the love and joy of the hobby. I get more joy and fulfillment in helping and sharing the love of Sims!!

I hope you understand and respect this.  🤗

Thank you to all of you who make this place an awesome and enjoyable place to hangout!! This is a labor of love and love to you all!!
