Diary of a Sim Gardener
« on: December 03, 2020, 12:19:30 AM »
Sims do gain gardening skill by harvesting plants around town and planting, tending and weeding a garden on their home lot.  They do not gain skill by picking up seeds.

Sims do not have to water when it's raining, but can still weed and otherwise tend plants.

Gardening Classes (§400.) can be taken at the Science Lab, and will gain Sims level 1 gardening skill.

To Join the Gardener Career:
Click on City Hall > Register as Self-Employed > Gardener

Sims can get between 1 and 4 harvestables per plant/tree. -- It takes 3 or 4 days before most plants will become harvestable on the home lot after first planted. Some plants take upwards of 7 to 14 days to become fully harvestable after first planted.
