Did I miss something? What happened to your fingers?

Uh-oh... Trouble in paradise? They were having such a nice cuddle on the couch and I think David fell asleep. Ashley isn't looking too impressed. :D

She decided she'd rather play chess on the computer.

I have a very sore toe (gout) and I've been on it too much in the last couple of days. It's really sore.

If you don't mind a little advice Lapaige, my hubby also has gout. When he first discovered it, I did some research and found out that a fairly low fat diet and maybe a couple of times a week have some blueberries or cherries (either light or dark). The blueberries or cherries helps to carry the excess uric acid out of your body instead of settling into your joint. He hasn't had an attack in many years now since we've been following this plan. Maybe when you indulge in the fatty stuff, be sure and have some of the fruit that same day. We use fresh frozen and he likes it w/just pop over them and I like to mix blueberries w/some yogurt. I do hope your toe and knee are feeling MUCH better though!

Thanks, Sonshine. The  knee is fine, just scraped and the gout moved from my next to baby toe to my big toe. Very painful for a few days but it's improving.
I eat blueberries almost every day on my cereal and I don't really eat a lot of the rich foods that can cause it. However, I do take a medication that can cause issues. I know I don't drink  enough water and I don't pee enough. I'm working on stepping that up. Cherry season is coming up. Can't wait!

Who's pouring? I could use a cup right now.

Gardening and feeling it! Since I moved into my apartment 2 1/2 years ago and then Covid came along, I've become rather slothful regarding activities.
Now I have an amazing balcony/patio/terrace and I'm busy filling it up with plants but I sure run out of steam fast and I had to get out of the sun. I have 2 big trips planned for next year and the year after. I'd better get myself back into shape.

I'm thinking of letting our garden go fallow this year b/c my hubby is disabled and unable to run the tiller. I can't run the thing! Not many neighbors willing to do it either. :(  That's ok, it hasn't been fallow for a number of years and deserves it.

I know I said that hubby hasn't had a gout attack in years, but the last time he did have it, we were visiting his cousin and they were raving about some chili dogs that they liked. Unfortunately, he stumbled and banged his toe against their small steps going up to their trailer home and then the chili dogs after that finished it off. I have to say though, that we both thought those things were about the more horrible things we ever tasted!!! Sometime after that is when I discovered about blueberries which we both love.

Funny you should say that. Mine flared after I ate hot dogs. The difference was, my hot dogs were yummy. Not worth the gout, but yummy. :D

Feel like a new woman. Just had over a year's growth of hair cut off. It feels great!
