Nindigo's Story ~

Oooh I could totally feel VJ going through the fence. I felt a little ping in my neck as I saw that photo.

I did have to laugh a little at him trying to fix the leaky faucet. Poor dude!! That animation is always funny though... lol -- I say as I get an evil eye from all the Sims who have ever dealt with the leaky faucet.

That's a beautiful photo of the Eiffel Tower and moon in the background!! I'm borrowing a copy, if you don't mind. I don't know if it will make a good poster, but I'm willing to try it anyway.

MrsFlynn.

"The game may be limited in what it can do but the way Lapaige finds ways around some of the softer limitations is amazing!!

Thank you for the compliment. I feel like I am sometimes good at keeping the computer from going out the window. lol"

Thank you and you're absolutely right.

Nindigo - Practise. Start small and let a plan evolve. When I'm starting a new sim, I don't move them into an existing house but on a lot with little more than a basic square and build on from there. The big green house that you see in my RV started with a small single-wide trailer (even though the description claims it's *not* a trailer. :D

No, prob MrsFlynn. And thank you for reading - it warms my little heart.

And thanks, LaPaige. Well, I can built a square and divide it up into a bathroom, a bedroom, and an open dining + living area. That is about the extent of my creativity when it comes to building. But I figure that I also lack knowledge of the different styles and house design in general.

I gave up on the mansion and decided to re-arrange the deck in the swamp and remove the pond. But it doesn't look very good with a 4 floor house in the swamp to be honest. And there is only room for a single spiral starcaise going all the way up. Not to mention the way Sims have to wait around for one another to go down it, when school and work is up. I have made sure that normal activites aren't placed above second floor. Parties have become a nightmare though. Maybe I should find a lot and make a basement for everything collected abroad. I don't know...I'm at a loss at this time.

Nindigo, if you'd like I can build you a house shell = unfurnished house? Do you have something in mind?  If you have an inspiration house, please forgive me if I don't get exact. lol

I totally flop when it comes to replicating house floorplans. It's just the creative differences between me and the floorplan I'm trying to follow. hahaha

That is very sweet of you, MrsFlynn, as usual. You don't have to do this. I fear it will be wasted, as I will probably divide my family soon after the two teens become young adults in only a few days. Clone VJ may also want to move out. I don't know. And soon also, Miraj will bring home a kid that he now has with an Egyptian married lady.

I'm taking a break from the Alvis right now and hanging out in Riverview instead. Need me some fresh country air :)

Okay, no problem. Just wanted to offer. :)

Speaking of houses, I went into Twinbrook the other day looking for info on the big junkyard there and tried to find which house you're playing in. I wasn't able to find it. Do you by chance have the address?

It is the one in the swamp called Nothin' but Deck, but it is heavily modified by now. Worst thing is, I have come to feel attached to the place. It "feels" like home despite being an impossible lot for current needs ;D

My Twinbrook is slowly changing, now that many adults are now elders and some who even passed away. And an empty lot has up and vanished, I can't even place a new lot in its place which is strange. On one hand, I would like my Sim kids to age, but I dislike that it ages up everyone else as well. Although, I would also hate the inconsistency of residents not aging along with mine. Lol, it's quite difficult to be trapped between a rock and a hard place, you know?

Anyway, I had the most crippling migraine yesterday, and it is still on today. Doesn't help me at all in making good decisions. Quite the contrary. But I can't stay away from the computer and my Sims. I just have to hold back with a lot of planning and such and enjoy my game for what it is.

Thank you for letting me know what home you're playing with. :)

I've had that happen where I've deleted a lot and haven't been able to place it back. I'm not sure why other than the terrain paints they use to build the town. When I've deleted (either by accident or on purpose) a lot that I'm not able to put back I usually have to go back a save.

That's if I'm building in my main-save game. Though I've done it in my build save as well. Luckily when I'm building, at least for the most part I save in stages as I'm building.

Can you play with aging off and then age up when you feel like it? Hmm.. Wait, that won't help, specially if you're wanting townies to age as well. Unless there's an option in MasterController maybe?  Or is that more of a Story Progression thing?

Hope your migraine eases up and goes away soon!!

Hugsies, cookies and warm migraine lifting tea!! <3

*plops down with all that good stuff and a big smile on my face* Thank you!!

I'm so torn about Story Progression. I put it in and take it out constantly. Maybe one day I will wake up and be decisive about what to finally do ;D

Nindigo, hope your headache goes away. They can sure wreck your day.

MrsFlynn, it never occurred to me to have a save just for builds. I build in-game and the game opens to my sim and I then go to edit town. I think I'll go back into RV and start over using it as just a save game. Good idea!
