If you don't want the abductions, you can turn them off in retuner. I  have my abductions turned off, but visits turned high. That way, when I want an alien baby, I can do it the normal way.

About univ, I guess I don't mind too much. It does give them an advantage in their career. One thing nice is that in some subjects they don't even need to go to class well, maybe 1 or 2 classes to give it a boost. After that, they need to work on their skill. They just need to take the test at the end of the week.
