« on: August 07, 2021, 02:52:23 PM »
~ Nindigo's Table ~

Welcome to my personal table in the Tea Room that MrsFlynn has so graciously granted me.

Here, I will record bits and snippets from my play with my favored Sim families and their friends.

Below, you will find the contents of my journal.

I hope you enjoy the read, and do leave a comment if you have something on your mind.

Sincerely,
Nindigo

Thank you for the invitation. I've brought some lovely scones to have with tea.

Unfortunately your journal seems to be locked. :(

The first update is not about the Alvis ::)

MrsFlynn had one of my favorite Sims and his wife lying around in a folder with my name on it and kindly sent them my way. It is Apollo Bloom, a premade from the city of Bridgeport which came with the Late Night expansion pack, and Kassie, who is one of MrsFlynn's own Sims. I did a little bit of shining up of Apollo, then moved him and Kassie into the Cinnamon House that I built yesterday.

Let's be honest, I think it is fun to play with genetics in The Sims 3. That is why I have a host of Alvi offspring and family members saved to my OneDrive (I'm so relieved that I remembered to upload them before I went on my emotional-crisis deletion spree). Thus, first order of business after settling Mr. and Mrs. Bloom was to pollinate Kassie, meaning a little nugget is now on its way - yay!

I found my babies like this after I returned from doing some work in Edit Town. Heartwarming.

It is Sunday in-game, so I'm waiting for tomorrow's daycare work to start. I think the Omni plant opportunity chain for VJ has become stuck or something. On a related note, almost all of his grapes are of perfect quality now and the rest of the garden as well. Maybe I can finally start to make nectar soon.

I have moved in several of my old Alvi fams. This batch is much younger (and alive even) than those from the recent save I found. But it also means that a lot of family members haven't been born and never will be. The mind-boggling paradox of parallel simverses :o

So, in my original Alvi save, VJ and Miraj has twelve kids by way of biological engineering granted by the Into The Future expansion pack:

1. Amir
2. Jamal
3. Nimah
4. Elyas
5. Harun
6. Daniyal
7. Zaki
8. Musa
9. Manar
10. Vajahat
11. Hanuna (currently a teenager)
12. Nadira (currently a toddler)

On the side, Miraj was abducted twice by different aliens and has had:

1. Jayyed
2. Ewa (currently a toddler)

To-do list:
I want to have a copy of everybody as young adults saved and their picture.

Notes:
I didn't use the Random Genetics mod for any of these offspring. Instead, I used the NRaas Story Progression Population module which does a bit of the same, namely making offspring inherit different variations of the parents' features instead of directly copied sections of their faces. There is also a non-mod based percentage chance of offspring receiving a mutation of some kind - a new hair color, skintone, eye color, etc. All very interesting to someone like me and the reason my Sims have many kids. From now on, however, I will be using the Random Genetics mod since I won't be using NRaas Story Progression anymore (I think!).

I can hardly keep track of myself, nevermind that many people. I'm impressed!
