Actually, the costume is scripted only for when they preside over royal court at table, but they tend to keep it on until they for some reason has to change into a different outfit. I think it's a cute feature, as they seem to engrossed in it. And that little tune fits perfectly

Anyway, my Miraj is taking me on an unexpected adventure. Yesterday, he was invited to a party thrown by a new resident in my Twinbrook. The day before yesterday, I grabbed about four premade Sims from Bridgeport (city came with the Late Night expansion) - Sims that either don't really have a fancy future in the big city or for some reason might think of moving to a more peaceful setting. Among them were the vampire, Wogan Hemlock, who was facing fierce rivalry from enemies and newcomers alike - including his own wife and child who were siding with his worst enemy. Wogan is not even evil like the leaders of the other vampire movements in Bridgeport. So I plucked him from that predicament and placed him in my Twinbrook instead.
Wogan had started to date Lolly who was also invited to said party, but had never met Miraj. I have no idea why Miraj was invited, but it could be because he is a five-star celeb. I went with Miraj to the party, as I was curious to see how Wogan had settled in a few houses away from the Alvi residence in the expensive part of town.
Upon arrival, I had Miraj introduce himself to host Wogan since that would only be proper after being invited. To my surprise, there was instant attraction, and after the initial introduction they were already at friend level. Three more polite friendly interactions and they were best friends. My jaw was more or less on my desktop.
I took my hands off the keyboard to see what would happen next. What happened was that my faithfully married Miraj began to flirt with Wogan of his own accord which was received well despite Wogan also being in a relationship. But then other guests broke in, and Miraj then spent some time playing guitar for everyone (he is a level 10 guitarist). After the party ended, I had Miraj ask if he could stay the night (the friendly interaction, mind). He could no problem, but Wogan had to leave for work soon after, so I had Miraj head home when he left.
But I sent him over again next morning. Because I felt like giving him this now that VJ has been so much out and about and making babies and whatnot.
Wogan's home was still open to enter for Miraj, so he did. The I took my hands off the keyboard again to simply observe. And I had to laugh at what happened next. Miraj was on the first floor having a drink from the juicebar there while Wogan was asleep. Suddenly, Miraj's eyes turned towards the ceiling whereafter he went upstairs. Wogan had gotten out of bed and was standing in just his boxers. Miraj bee-lined for him and started to flirt once again. I moused over Wogan's portrait up top to see what kind of flirt Miraj was using - it was 'compliment appearance'. Of course, I thought - but admittedly, I don't understand Miraj's taste completely, not when it comes to Wogan. Oh, well. *shrug*
They flirted some more and held hands. All very cute and autonomous. Wogan then had to leave for work again judging by his attire when he left. Before sending Miraj home though, I decided to use MC to "cancel" his marriage to VJ as well as Wogan's relationship with Lolly. I can't be bothered to purchase the clean slate LTR too often and I didn't want any hurt feelings anywhere, but inside myself.
And that is where I am now. I've decided to let Miraj pursue this thing with Wogan. Then VJ can also get back together with Lolly and the kids. For a while. Don't know yet how things will progress exactly, but I feel the game has given me this opportunity to breathe some fresh air, so I will definitely check it out. I'm still a bit flabbergasted though
