Thank you for not posting the photos. lol  The red tint is a bit much for my eyes.  I've only played MH a few times each time was really dark. I do remember it having some beautiful houses and interesting Sims.

The lighting -can- be mended with lighting mods. I play vanilla right now, because of the red days. Brntwaffles has a lighting mod specifically for MH, but it seems the frequency of these days is less common with it installed. The architecture is really beautiful, as you say, MrsFlynn.

Appaloosa Plains

So, VJ and Miraj got invited to a feast party (Christmas Dinner essentially) at a relative's, and what an awful party that was!

First of all, there was no food. The only entertainment was a cheap TV and a two-seated sofa that the ten or so guests fought over constantly. To top it all off, none of the guests got along. The air was constantly thick with red double minus signs, and my inappropriate VJ was in no small part to thank for it. He also got drained by a vampire. There was one toddler present that just sat peacefully on the floor the whole time and watched TV while sucking her thumb. Probably for lack of actual food, I assume.

Unfortunately, I didn't get any screenshots taken. It was memorable in its own way though.

I am not entirely sure if this is true, I have read that townies that hold parties are usually poor quality.  Your active Sim or household that goes to the party ends up not having a good time because of this or that. Some describe it as a bug in the party system?

I don't know I have been using a No More Parties mod for awhile. I haven't experience Townie parties for awhile.  Before the mod parties were scheduled to happen but either didn't happen or I'd tried to help out - with cooking food or bringing a boom box. Hosts did not like that, even though they provided nothing for their parties.  And the parties were at odd hours too. Like starting at 10pm.

I found that anytime my sims were invited to a party there was either nothing happening at the place or they couldn't get in. I just started ignoring the invites after a while. I wasn't aware there was a mod for that.

Well, this experience was unique for me, because I always see the host cooking when my Sim shows up. Even if it's just a cheap meal. I love parties since crazy things always seem to happen. I don't always have my Sims go though. If they're busy doing something else. I do occasionally get an invite for a party in the middle of the night, a buggy one, or a host can be sleeping when guests arrive. It's not a frequent occurrance, however. Most often it works fine and is a lot of fun - good for screenshots of wacky situations.

VJ sends you a thumbs up, MrsFlynn. He finds it mightily entertaining to trick people.

Jokes aside, it's fine. I also took the blue out of his otherwise black hair ;)
