I've added this to my Build CC folder:

It's a bit tricky to move/place windows with moveobjects on. I have to use the mouse and arrows from the keyboard to help fiddle with it.

The link to the stairs isn't working? or is it just on my end. I'll check that in a bit.

Good luck. The only problem with that stair set is that it's only a single wide. I know you like double stairs.

I haven't done much with the inside, but have gone with base game stairs - Living Stairs for the inside and the wooden "Homestyle" stairs for the outside.

I obviously don't have my dimensions right. I had to take a chunk out of the living room for the kitchen stairs (I used the stairs from the Prism Art Studio), and it was a squeeze to get the power room and the butler's pantry in.



I may put a bay window in the kitchen for a small table/chairs and add a screened porch in the back.

Here's what my house looks like at the moment. I don't think I have the right dimensions either. lol  But I absolutely -love- how the house is turning out!!



Looks like you have a 2nd staircase going up to the 2nd floor, where I have one staircase going up to the 2nd floor and one to the basement.

Did you add a basement?  It says it has an excavated basement.

A small table/chairs in the kitchen and a screened in back porch was an idea I played around with, but am trying to limit how much CC I add to this build. So I took out the screened windows and kept the fencing/railing I'm using in the front.

Well done! I'm getting there.

The era of this house, and given the size and layout, I suspect that it was meant that any staff lived in the attic.
If you look at the plans, you'll see that all the "public" rooms are accessed from the front foyer. The kitchen is only accessible through the owner's library which is separated by pocket doors. Right in the corner where the butler's pantry is, there's an l-shaped stairway going up to the second floor. The basement stairs would be under that (right across from the powder room).
I also have a 3rd set of stairs from the 2nd floor going up to the attic.



I haven't yet put in a basement, but if I do, I'll place the stairs under the kitchen stairs.

My second floor is only just roughed out. I need to make a family bath (in those days there was usually only one bathroom) and I have to decide which room is the primary bedroom and give it an en-suite. I might make the room over the dining room into the primary suite and remove the roof over the dining room bay window and put a little balcony out there.

I think I'm going to have some lunch now and maybe work on my stitching this afternoon. Too many ideas running around in my head. I need to take a break.

Ah okay. It says chamber/library, so I took that to mean it could be either a bedroom or library/study?  There is a door/arch to the kitchen from the diningroom, so I figure it was accessable from that side as well. As the door from the chamber/library room.

I tried adding an attic, I couldn't get something I was okay with.

My 2nd story is still somewhat finished. I'm still debating breaking up the long bedroom to the right side middle of the house.

If I remember correctly, there's possibly a way to remove the chimney from the 2nd floor, but at the time I couldn't remember how to do it, so I left it.

I like the idea of a small balcony above the diningroom.

I noticed you didn't add a fireplace to in the living room. Is that not what's in the livingroom? Cause I'm all for taking out the fireplace.

The room next to the living room actually says "Owner library" and you can tell by the double wall that it has pocket doors. The door from the kitchen to the dining room is only a single door and probably kept closed. The house I grew up in, of similar vintage, had a swinging door between the kitchen/dining room. No such thing then as "open plan". Guests weren't meant to see people working in the kitchen, or the mess.  

I hadn't got around to adding the fireplaces yet. I'm going to put one in the parlor. You can eliminat the chimney from "buy" mode/move objects.

I just realized I need to go and pick up a prescription so I  might as well get a walk in while I'm at it. Don't think I'll get much stitching done today.
