Made a new game folder today. Had a funny thing happen. One of VJ's kids disappeared completely from the game all of a sudden. So, went back a save. Crazy things happen in TS3.

I usually create a new Sims 3 folder every few months, normally. lol Get ready to gasp... haha  I haven't made a new Sims 3 folder since Aug.2020. *Gasp*

Now I have dumped it out and reinstalled store and custom content a couple of times though.

Hopefully the new Sims 3 folder works out for you.

It's definitely better. Now I just need the store to get into its head that my game key is valid, so I can download some free registration stuff.

Hmm.. That's strange that it's "forgetting" your game key. I've never had any problem with anything. But it might be because I'm using the disc version and have all the store content downloaded and backed up?

*Shrug* I'm not entirely sure.

Sigh.

There are two pet items - a bed and a bowl - that I'm entitled to, but I can't download them, because the page wants me to enter my game key. When I view the possible explanations as to why I can't, it says the following might be the issue:

- I misentered the key (I didn't)
- the key might be registered with a different account (it isn't)
- my copy is used (by me, yes)

and lastly is says:
- if I bought the digital version of the game, I don't have to re-register it (then it shouldn't be a problem)

But still, I can't download the items. *pouty face*

This sounds like a very familiar situation. As in, we've gone through something similar.

It sounds like you've got both Steam version and Origin version?

Do you know which version isn't allowing you to download store content? -- If it's the Steam version, you need to register the Steam Sims 3 game code with the Sims 3 Store. - If that's the main version you're using.

If it's Origin, I would think it would be already registered. If that's the case that's definitely something to contact CS about. As you should be able to download store items.

I think only one version is allowed store content downloads, but I am not entirely sure on that.

It isn't allowing my Origin version to download it. Also, another registration reward gets stuck during a neverending loading window popup.

What is CS?

The never-ending loading window sounds like a site issue.

Hmm.. Wonder if it's because you've got your Steam version registered to download the store stuff?

I'm really curious to know if players aren't allowed to have both their Steam version and Origin version both registered with the store. I'm not sure who to ask about that.

Oh, was able to finally get past the loading screen. But I still can't download 'Atomic Age Pets Registration Gifts'

I can download everything else, no problem.
