I did ;)

I really need to get an overview of my Sunset Valley. Today, I discovered that my game had skipped the YA stage for Sandi French - I really hate when this happens. The only solutions seem to be to turn off aging or to use NRaas StoryProgression :-\

That is odd.. But I usually play with aging off. *Blush* And age Sims up when I feel like it. lol

I still haven't installed Nraas SP. I just feel it's a mod that has a lot of options to setup just right and even still could put a monkey wrench into your gameplay.

I heavily dislike the SP mod. If you play with it and don't do anything about the settings, your town will change job and partners every other day - and young males will often pair up with elderly females and thereby not produce any offspring, because these marriages are, of course, the ones that somehow last. It is a major hassle to go into every darn setting and make it the way you want to. And you can't be sure even then if it will work to your liking. Forget one little thing, and you have spend time setting things right again manually.

But it's also a major hassle to correct ages and fix those abominations that appear if I turn aging on and off. *plucks hair*

Ah.. Sounds like a darned if you do and darned if you don't. Though it might be a little less of a hassle to fix ? when aging is off. Less options to fuss with?

It might.

But today, I felt like doing something completely different. Not long ago, I watched a YouTube video by The Sims Lore about an elderly lady living in Twinbrook by name of Anna-Liza Riddle which totally peaked my interest. Anna-Liza reminds me a lot of Jessica Fletcher from a TV series called Murder, She Wrote which ran in the late 80's and some into the 90's. Jessica is a mystery writer and amateur detective. I love the series.

So, this evening, I have started a save playing Anna-Liza and having lots of fun exploring her character and situation :)

Ooooh cool!! Will you be writing a story or sharing updates of your gameplay?

I'm still trying to troubleshoot the PI Career, as I'm still getting stuck on the stakeout part of the Case of the Disappearing Auto. I've tested it on both Appaloosa Plains and Sunset Valley. In AP I get stuck in a never-ending stakeout loop. Though can still rank up in career level and write stakeout reports.

In SV my Sim gets reset no matter who I'm playing. At least that's been my experience so far. Though in the current test (in SV) I'm at career lv8 doing fairly well, but haven't come across the CoDA case.

This career is really buggy from what I understand and more so if playing in towns with combo buildings. Though I've read that it's not necessarily the combo building lot that is the issue. That it just might be the actual case that is bugged with bad coding. :(

It wouldn't be a surprise for sure ;D

I just might make a thread for Anna-Liza Riddle (analyse a riddle). It'd be something a little different for a change :P

I don't know why but that comment struck me really funny!! lol

I'd love to see photos of that!! (Da VJ and his farmer spouse)

Update on my gameplay I was able to get my test Sim to lv10 of the PI Career. Playing in Sunset Valley, got the CoDA (Case of the Disappearing Auto) and it went fine. Was able to work through the stakeout part and report Gunther to the police - basically the last half of that case.

The only case I had a real problem with, meaning it wouldn't finish is the Case of Fisherman's Local 105 - gets to the stakeout and goes into a loop not finishing, but is allowing career advancement and writing reports. Doing other stakeouts isn't counting towards stakeout wish. This case was at lv8 in the career.

I started a new play-test in SV again, more so to write down each case name as they relate to the career level. To find out if I'm correct in that the CoDA case comes around lv7 or 8 of the career.
